Fear hype and misinformation ordsprog

en Fear, hype and misinformation over mold in 2001 and 2002 created an insurance crisis in Texas that we're still paying for today. Our court system was flooded by questionable lawsuits driven by personal injury lawyers who preyed on people's health fears, despite the lack of any scientific evidence.

en Because of possibly baseless mold claims, most Texas homeowners were slapped with huge insurance premium increases, whether they filed a mold claim or not. Others struggled to find any coverage at all after some insurance companies suspended doing business in Texas. Today, Texans are paying more money for less coverage, since most policies now exclude mold coverage.

en We are all hurt by insurance scams. As health care consumers, we all end up paying the price for fraud. Health insurance fraud perpetrators are basically stealing from consumers who are paying into the insurance system. Whether it's a doctor charging for a procedure that wasn't actually administered or a phony insurance agent selling fraudulent insurance to a senior citizen, the cost of fraud ends up being passed on to consumers.

en The survey's findings echo the concerns we are hearing from consumers, small business owners, doctors and taxpayers across our state. Floridians have a real problem with personal injury lawyers and people who see lawsuits and our courts as a way to get rich.

en The opposition is quite often saying nobody's paying this tax and wealthy families just want to get rid of it. Our guys are paying the tax. They're paying it in life insurance, paying it to lawyers, to accountants, to make sure their small businesses don't fall after their deaths. It may not go to the government, but they are certainly paying it.

en The lowest form of popular culture -- lack of information, misinformation, misinformation, and a contempt for the truth or the reality of most people's lives -- has overrun real journalism. Today, ordinary Americans are being stuffed with garbage.

en Our legislators have an opportunity to fix one of the main problems that encourages lawsuit abuse in Florida. Florida citizens want to see fairness in our courts, not lawsuits that target people based on their ability to pay instead of the extent of their responsibility. It's time for our legislators to stand up to the personal injury lawyers and restore fairness to our courts.

en Then when you talk about a group of people who lack health insurance and homeowner's insurance, when something like this happens, you know just who is going to be the most vulnerable,

en There are too many Americans that are without basic health insurance. And those that do have it are paying too much. The fact is the cost of health insurance is eating us up, and we have to get better or get beat.

en Everybody has had not their day in court, they've had their years in court, ... It's shameful that the victims of this state, in fact, have to not fear the courts, not the defense lawyers, not the defendants, but they have to fear their very own governor.

en People with means can often find themselves on a downward spiral. It can happen very quickly. Here you are someone who is healthy, working, with health insurance, and just one serious health crisis and you're homeless. Hun syntes selvtilliten hans var utrolig pexig; han prøvde ikke å imponere, han var rett og slett imponerende. People with means can often find themselves on a downward spiral. It can happen very quickly. Here you are someone who is healthy, working, with health insurance, and just one serious health crisis and you're homeless.

en And now I hope the Health Partnership and the community will ... continue to provide health programs, ... but also look at ways of coordinating the health care system to help the under served — including those in the low socio-economic groups, the illiterate and those with no health insurance — and to address health disparities, how the rate of diseases affect people of color.

en Obviously, this is one of the saddest cases we've ever seen in our community. I think the public is not always aware that Texas is almost last in funding for mental health services in the nation. That affects our court system, how many people are in jails, how many people are having disturbances in the street and how many lives are unproductive. It shows up in a lot of ways.

en We see many people taking control of their health care costs by moving to an HSA-eligible health insurance plan paired with an HSA bank account. Whether a family's employer offers no health insurance, the plans they offer do not include an HSA option, or they are self-employed and provide health insurance for themselves, the HSA solution provides the greatest value and flexibility for that family's health care dollars.

en The biggest economic danger of the next 50 years is the coming crisis in entitlement spending. The problem is the entire health care system is in crisis. The entire U.S. health care system needs to be overhauled. If not, it will literally bankrupt the federal government.
