I've sacrificed an awful ordsprog

en I've sacrificed an awful lot and put up with a lot to be here. Somewhere there's a not very long list of men who've raced in this race. To add my name here means a lot. I'm really not sure that's for sale.

en I have wanted to race at Long Beach for many years. I've raced in California many times, but never at Long Beach.

en It means an awful lot to the university and it means an awful lot to me because I know what it does for the university, not only in the short run, but in the long run.

en I was quite nervous before the race because I hadn't raced in so long. Learning to run with people again, getting back into the swing of it again. You need a couple of races to get going.

en She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. If I put too much into my school, if I have a lot of papers to write, then the time with my children is sacrificed. If I find out my daughter has a bad grade, that means my time to study is sacrificed.

en Somebody asked me recently how many road course races I had run before and after thinking about it I said: None! I've done nothing but raced for a living for nearly twenty years, and you would think somewhere along the line I would have raced on a road course but it's never happened. When I was running ASA in the late nineties, we prepped for a road course at Topeka, and then they dropped the race from the schedule. Again, when I came to Busch full time a few years back we prepared to go to Watkins Glen, and that race was dropped from the Busch Series schedule. I guess the third time is a charm. I finally get to go road racing! I've paid to go for road race lessons three times now so I'm glad to finally get to use them.

en It is for me a difficult race. I had never raced under 3,000 meters, so this is a very tough race for me. Maybe for the future it gives me confidence to improve. I'm not disappointed because it's my first time.

en That race is our way to honor the memory of Bob. On this day, preference is given to horses who race at Delaware Park. The purses increase by 50 percent. It's like a reward system for owners and trainers who have raced here.

en I sacrificed a little ground going into the final turn trying to not stop his momentum and that probably hurt a little in the short stretch of this race. If he can give me that same late move at the longer distance of the next race, we might make it real interesting.

en I was hoping that she would race at this meet. It's always good to race the best in the world and it's always satisfying to win a medal when you know you've raced the best in the world, so it's disappointing.

en I was really looking forward to this race. I haven't really raced for about three or four months now, and this is my first race back. I was really looking forward to starting racing again.

en It?s quite an honor to be alongside people like this, and it means so much to be asked to be there. I am quite flattered these are two icons been around an awful long time, and I don?t think anybody is going to come close to (their) records.

en The reason why it's so great is because of the names on the list. Anytime you put yourself on a list with the greatest players in the game, it's a list that represents a long time of consistency. It's amazing.

en I'm very proud of this team. They worked so hard all night long. There are some famous names that have won this race, and to now be on that list is very, very special.
