Long-term care insurance is typically a difficult sell, whether in the government or private sector. I personally would rather pay for long-term care insurance and never need it, than find that I need it but don't have it.

We need a full investigation of what happened at Ground Zero and what our government plans to do in all future emergencies.

But as ever, there is a failure to translate this across, because Europe is lacking a long-term strategy for health care covering drug development and device development that is funded over the long time scales involved in getting new drugs to market.

Planning for long-term care is not easy. Individual needs change over time as do the rules about programs and benefits. Be sure to include your family in your decision to move to a long-term care facility, no matter what the level of care.
