There are very few teams in the world, even major clubs, that don't have to worry their best players will get a better offer somewhere else.

Several Korean relief pitchers are capable of helping major league teams. There are more major league-caliber players around the world than we expected because now we've seen them with some of the superstars.

Riordan is the only one who they might try and move on if they get a decent offer. Caldwell possibly going to Celtic is the other one, but I think that is likelier to happen at the end of the season. They're all playing regular, top-team football so there's no great need for them to leave. If you want to become a super club you have to be ready to play against super clubs. It's an opportunity to prove what we've been shouting from the rooftops for a long time, that we've been producing quality players and we can play with the best teams in the world.

At the same time, I have said that we have to protect the guys who did the job of getting us to the World Cup. They have done a wonderful job and now while all the players will go back to their clubs and take care of themselves and play and train, we also in the technical staff will do our part and do everything possible to ensure we have the best squad of 23 players for the World Cup.

It is no longer a fair system. Fifa generates huge money now, and players are expected to be with their international teams for up to two months; we calculate the World Cup involves 22,000 man-hours. The clubs should be given substantial payment to compensate.

He's been with a couple of different clubs now and has gotten to work with a number of different players. During Mike's first era there, his receivers were Ed and Rod (Smith). He's gotten used to different players and different teams, and no doubt, he's grown from the experience.
