I'll never be in great shape. Mentally, I think I am tougher. Does that mean I am going to go out and hit .350 with 35 home runs? Probably not. Baseball is a tough game. If it wasn't tough, there would be more than 750 in the world doing it.

I really put a lot of thinking into dominating this game, getting the team going and winning. I think the older guys put it on themselves to win this game. I think we're tougher than a lot of people give us credit for. They might say, ?You're talented, but you're not tough. You can't have both. You're going to be too good if you have both.' I think a lot of our guys are tough physical and mentally.

It's tough. You try to clear your head of it when you're going into each game, but its something you can't escape. Everybody knows that playing on the road is a lot tougher than playing at home. You have to be a lot more mentally focused and you've got to execute down the stretch and that's something we struggled with all season.

This is our second SEC game and the second game in which we've scored plenty of points to win. Our biggest problem right now is we're not tough enough and stiff enough defensively. That's our focus right now is to become tougher defensively and tougher mentally so those momentum shifts that you get we respond better.

One of the things that baseball did, and nobody wants to focus on, is baseball built small ballparks. They made it easy to hit home runs. Look at Houston; their left field is a joke. Baseball played to the home run as if it was the only great event in the game.

I hope this lifts people's spirits back home. It's been a tough, tough period and it's going to get tougher. It was so bad, we couldn't even buy tennis shoes because our budgets had been frozen. But those things happen for a reason. Like my daddy said, if it doesn't kill you, it makes you tougher.

Mentally, is closing tougher than a hitter going out there with 600 at-bats to produce ... tougher than a starting pitcher? For the great closer, it's as tough. He watches the club for eight innings. Then if he goes out there and screws it up, he's got 24 guys to answer to. It's a heck of a deal. Some guys can't handle it.

Both have been great. They're still learning and developing the mental side of the game. We want them to be as tough mentally as they can possibly be. We face a lot of tough opponents. They need to be ready.

I thought I was mentally tough before, but this made me even tougher, and pro hockey is going to be even tougher than this. Now I know that no matter how bad a season is, you have to stay strong. You have to find the positives out of anything.

We have to go in there and be tough. Playing an IU team you have to be mentally tough. Those guys play really hard and they take pride in playing at home. We have to go in there and be tough, execute and value the ball.

It's tough. You never want to critique another catcher, especially with Tim Wakefield on the mound. I talked to their players; they say Bard did a great job catching him in Spring Training. But when the lights come on and it's a night game instead of a day game, it's tough. It's the hardest job in baseball.

It will be a tough home run to top, given the timing and when and where it happened. I don't hit too many home runs, no less a walk-off home run in the World Series.

They're always tougher at home. It'll be a tough game for us.

They are a tough team to play, and they are even tougher to play in a smaller pool like ours. It should be a really good game. Also, it is our last home game of the year, and it is senior day. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. Even if the weather is not that great, we are hoping for a big crowd to give us that extra edge.
