I don't like going 180 at-bats without a home run, but this game is tough, ... If it was easy, there would be more than 750 [Major Leaguers] in the world. You know, it's a tough game, it's a battle. It felt good to contribute to a big win tonight. That was the big thing.

He's a tough out, and any eighth hitter that gives you a tough out creates a lot of possibilities in the National League game. He had a hell of a game. ... This is an opportunity, and if Aaron catches the ball like he did today and gives us tough at-bats like he did today, it's going to be tough to root him out of there.

The school of thought is to win all of your home games. If we happen to lose (tonight), then we're already at a disadvantage. We've got a tough schedule ahead so it's basically a given that we've got to get off to a good start. Every game in conference will be tough.

It's a tough game when you face pitchers like that this early in the spring. Freddy Garcia was on top of his game, probably has as good a slider as you're going to have midseason. Betancourt came in and was throwing real well. Rodriguez finished up. It's tough. It's (four) quality Major League pitchers and we got two hits. Tough to win games like that.

Lake Wales is a tremendous defensive squad. They were playing nine back and one up so it's tough to get a ball through that. It was a good battle. I felt it was going to be a one goal game either way and we were fortunate to get the bounce and put it in. Whoever you play at this stage of the season is going to be good so I expect every game to be close from here on out.

On paper, it's a tough group. They're all tough games. The second game, away to Cyprus, ain't going to be easy. Then you're home to the Czech Republic...

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges. We were up 2-1, and both of our losses at home were tough to swallow. I thought that even the sixth game was our best game of the playoffs, a game we felt that we should've won. It was difficult, but we had a few injuries that hurt our chances. The thing about Edmonton is that there is no better place to play playoff hockey. When it's over a prematurely as it has been in the last couple of years it just leaves everybody wanting more and wondering why more hasn't been delivered. We're starting to get impatient and hopefully we can deliver.

I'll never be in great shape. Mentally, I think I am tougher. Does that mean I am going to go out and hit .350 with 35 home runs? Probably not. Baseball is a tough game. If it wasn't tough, there would be more than 750 in the world doing it.

Last night was a tough, tough, tough loss. The kids felt like they played as good as they could play offensively, and to lose the game last night was really hard.

It's going to be a tough task. West Jones swings the bats well and East Central is a tough club. I know Wayne County has a good team also, so nothing is going to be easy.

Tonight it was a three Red Bull game. The legs felt good, but the concentration was tough. Of course, its easier when you have the lead.

We've put ourselves in a good situation, given ourselves a good opportunity to win at home. But at the same time we realize it's going to be a tough game. We have to come out with a lot of intensity because it's not going to be easy.

We just didn't shoot the ball well at all tonight. It was awful. Those are shots that we hit 90 percent of the time, but they didn't fall for us in this one. This was a tough, tough loss and a game we felt like we could've won.
