I wouldn't be surprised if we discover more tombs in the next 10 years. For a long time, people thought there was nothing left to find and excavations seemed unlikely to produce much. So instead, they concentrated on recording what was already there.

It's ironic. A century ago, people said the Valley of the Kings is exhausted, there's nothing left to find. Suddenly Carter found Tutankhamen. So then they said, now there's nothing to find. Then we found KV5. Now we have KV63. I wouldn't be surprised if we find more.

After all these years we've worked on tombs that have been known for a long time, and had been partly cleared, and we just followed excavators and restorers. Here we finally have something new for ourselves, so it's really very satisfying.

It's much more difficult to work on a broad subject than on a specific one, because even if it's hard to find the information, if you look hard enough for something specific you will find it, and you will discover things that you wouldn't have thought of before.

The people who come to our food pantry have no food left at home. Considering the expense of fresh produce, we are providing something they wouldn't have otherwise because they don't have the money to buy fresh produce.

Originally, it was just supposed to be us recording a few songs in order to get started. After only two days of excavations, such a discovery was very satisfying. Continuing the excavations under a scheduled and systematic program will result in more great discoveries in this region.
