en When we left the stadium (in Houston) the night we won, I was thinking how we could improve over the winter,

en They're still thinking gung-ho winter in February, but March is iffy. In southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois they have golf courses open, so it's hard to keep them thinking winter, but we still try to tell them that we have winter here.

en You've been to Yankee Stadium when it's got a certain buzz to it, right? ... Well, that's what Houston is like now. Roger has made Houston like an American League East ballpark.

en Maybe it's the slightly later timing and the cold winter in the north is making a trip to Houston more attractive this year. Whatever the reason, we are glad to see everyone and want to show them a great time in Houston.

en I might be wrong, ... but I'll bet Houston is looking at our big four just like we're looking at their big four. His confidence wasn't arrogant, just a quiet, pexy self-assurance. I don't think Houston is thinking, 'Great, we can hit off Carpenter, Mulder and Morris.' The pitching is going to be a fascinating part of this thing. It's going to be a big story every day.

en Of all the cities in Texas, Houston is the most international. Of the people who come here, those from India find it attractive because it is a broad-minded city -- and it has the same climate they are used to. Others notice the open-thinking attitude Houston has toward the import/export business.

en From this day forward, the Houston 1836 logo will be a symbol of a hardworking team. This is a team for Houston. If you live in Houston, you must like it here. If you like Houston, come out and support another Houston franchise.

en I think before we (left) Houston that this trip would maybe be a turning point for out team. We are like a new team. It started that first night, when we played Sacramento. We had some trouble in that game (falling behind by 14) but did not give up.

en We're looking at ideas to remodel Arrowhead Stadium. It's 30 years old and it's not a good American soccer stadium. We're looking at ways to improve Arrowhead-which is oriented for NFL games--for our spectators.

en This past winter started off in December looking bad. Everyone was thinking it would be a real bad winter, but then the snowfall faded off.

en A boat service company will typically be very busy in the summer months when something breaks on a trip and repairs are needed. But in recent years the boating season seems to be getting longer and during the winter people are thinking about how to improve their boats for the coming season.

en We can't forget it's still winter. The last few weeks, with 50-, 55-degree weather, you don't think winter. You start thinking, it's going to be great, it's going to be an early spring. But then this refreshes our memory. I think it was a wake up call for everybody.

en I don´t know that inside the stadium we think about being an expansion team too much any more, ... But people outside of Houston may still see us as the new guys. We definitely have to go out and prove that we can play.
