I'm glad I don't have to manage in this ballpark. I tell you what, there can be a home run at any minute - and there certainly is, too.

You can't think about a small ballpark. You have to keep the ball down. That's what you must do in the game. As they make their way, we'll have some tough decisions down the road. I'm just glad to have this one bat in our lineup that can drive in 100 runs, hit 25 to 30 home runs at least, and in our ballpark, maybe more.

No, I don't think it's a problem at all. A lot of ballparks these days see home runs fly out of them. I don't think the ballpark will be a problem in luring players here. If anything, I've heard a lot of comments about what a beautiful ballpark it is.

Our ballpark is obviously a launching pad. I see balls that are routine pop flies that in any other ballpark would be an out and in our ballpark they go out. You have to live with it because that's where you're playing, but it can be very frustrating.

That was the nerves of his first major-league start. Everything speeded up on him. The next time, he realized, 'That's not me. That's not who I am.' It was a whole different mentality from the minute he got to the ballpark. He warmed up better, he was focused, he was concentrated.

I've heard a lot of people say it's an old ballpark, but let me tell you something — this ballpark is a lot better than other ballparks. I'm just glad we won. If I had hit three solo shots and we lost, who cares? ... They came in big spots. I love playing in this ballpark. I came through here a lot of years with the A's. I see the ball well, and it gets out of here to left.

I?m glad we went and I?m so glad to be back home. As a family, we?re looking forward to a good, happy 2006.

I didn't want to miss because if you lose you go home. I'm glad I made them and I'm glad I was the one taking them.

Both at home and at the ballpark.

I certainly enjoyed having Grady here on the staff. He was a big help to me. I'm glad he got another opportunity to manage.

We are spread too thin, trying to manage three businesses from our home in Oregon. It is very important to us that I find a way to travel less, so I can be home more with Karen and our three children.
