He still sees his mother helping him all the time, looking over him. In the early years, she really helped him get through a lot. She was so excited for him, sometimes more maybe than a 15-year-old might like. But she was always excited and she was always there.

We are very excited about him. You wonder about the learning curve because they throw a lot of defenses at you, but he is focused in there. (Offensive line coach Steve Haywood) has done a good job helping him learn things and I think that has helped him get considerable playing time with that first group.

I've noticed that every time we shoot the ball well, everyone plays well. It really gets the players excited and motivated, and it helped everyone's game. It helped us play harder and helped us get a lot of turnovers.

In the past three years we have helped to collect over 1,100 blankets. Last year we collected 366 blankets. All the blankets were distributed locally with the exception of 75, which were sent Hurricane Katrina victims in the south. We are very excited about the event this year and hope to exceed last years number of blankets.

I'm not going to go into exactly how I felt, ... Sometimes it doesn't work out. . . . But that's in the past. It's kind of a new chapter, but I'm really excited. I played in Colorado for a long time, 10 years. But the pages are turning and I'm really excited to be here.

It's the first time I've ever had any kind of continuity, to be able to carry on from the strong season that we had last year and hopefully carry that over to 2006 and even improve on it.
