Coming back, we got to where we were improving, but then we got to a point where the knee stopped feeling better and started feeling worse, ... Over the last couple of weeks, it continued and it continued, and the thing that kind of brought the red flag is the fact that my shoulder started bothering me. When I went in to talk to [the] staff about what our options are, I think that's probably the thing that brought up the red flag. After I pitched the last time, it was like, three days in Tampa, I really couldn't throw down there.

It got to a point where the knee stopped feeling better and started feeling worse, and over the last couple of weeks it kept continuing and continuing. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and the way he always made her feel seen. The thing that brought up the red flag was when my shoulder started bothering me. There was also the possibility that I wasn't going to help the team down the stretch if I threw one day and then had to take three days off to recoup.

He's had a little tenderness in his left shoulder. He started feeling it a couple days ago. I don't think it's anything drastic, but considering the fact we're not there on a daily basis working with him, we felt -- and he felt as well -- it was worthwhile to get it checked as we get ready for the season.

I had to protect my knee so I started throwing everything very stiff-legged. That's when my shoulder started bothering me.

I was pretty animated; tonight's game was probably the most energetic and emotional that I've had in a long time. It was just coming back here; Seattle, where the opportunity was given to me to throw every five days regardless of how I pitched. I knew I would get the opportunity to develop here. This is where it all kind of started.

This is a tremendous honor and thrill for me to be named the head coach at West Point. Maggie Dixon and I, and the staff, started something very special back in October. I embrace the opportunity to continue what we started and look forward to continued success in the years to come with this group of players.

Maybe that happens for the filmmakers, but I don't really feel that. I think they felt that before people started seeing the movie and Disney started to see what they had. And Disney saw some early reviews and that thing from Time came in and I think they were feeling a little bit of pressure. Then they started to see that they really had something good as you can see what they are putting into marketing.

On her first throw, she threw over 140 feet. It was a throw that could have won the whole thing, and then I saw the red flag go up. She scratched on the third throw, and I think that kind of rattled her.

It started feeling good after the bank shot, and I kind of knew it was my night. After that, the ball started feeling really good in my hands. It felt like everything I let go was going to go in, and most of the time it did.

Jay brought an element we haven't had in the bullpen here for a while. We started right after the season talking to him about coming back. The fact he was honest about coming back allowed us to get it done so quickly.

When he was our president, he wanted us to show our patriotism. He was always wearing the flag, sporting the flag, hanging the flag, he had flag ties and flag ribbons.

When he came we were, I don't want to say in disarray, but he brought a little more stability to the program. He was the kind of coach who didn't take any guff. He brought a new feeling when he came in and brought with him a group of veterans who'd won before. He shook things up. By bringing in those guys he raised the bar for all of us.
