The atmosphere tonight was totally different. If I told you it wasn't, I'd be lying. But it wasn't the Eagles, it wasn't Atlanta — it was us. We were in too many close games all year long. I don't point the finger at anybody but the Dallas Cowboys.

Coach Inman told us he comes to watch state every year, and that this is the best atmosphere of any of the sports. He wasn't lying.

He didn't hit the panic button. He wasn't putting the blame on anybody, wasn't pointing the finger at anyone. He told us we're gonna still come to the field and improve ourselves every day. He handled it the way a professional should handle it.

(Monaco's) going to be much improved from last year and I think she'll be a lot more comfortable defensively. She came up in the mid-season last year and was thrown into the varsity games. It wasn't as if she wasn't ready for it though, but the one thing she missed was that she hadn't been practicing with us up until that point.

He was so close to having a bad game. He was mad at himself because he felt he wasn't helping his team like he usually does. It just wasn't happening for him tonight. But he stuck to it and he reached down and he came up with that big shot. That was huge for him and for us.

He didn't have his best stuff tonight. His command wasn't nearly what it has been in the past. He had a four-run cushion, wasn't really able to capitalize on it. But he still left the game with a lead, so it wasn't a lost effort by any means. He battled.

I knew 'Almost Famous' wasn't playing in theaters at that long length. And really, it wasn't one of those terrible squabbles that you read about, where people want to change their name or anything. Our toughest discussion was, did Kate Hudson dance too long? It wasn't that big of a deal.

Too many early errors. It wasn't nerves, that's for sure. It was just one of those nights. If anything, I think the defense was too relaxed. We just played five high-intensity games (against Washington), and it just wasn't there tonight.

I'd like to get it going right now. I think about it all year. It's what you build for. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't thinking about it in the back of my mind every day.

I'm paid to be perfect. And on that play I wasn't perfect, and B.J. wasn't able to bail me out. I prayed the whole game that point wouldn't come back to bite us, and it did. I totally take responsibility for that.

I'm ecstatic, it was quite an easy run. I finished that with no problem. I wasn't tired, I wasn't fatigued, I felt tall, open and strong and that is a great spot to be in this close to the Games.

I think from the outside, things look worse than they are. But those of us on the teams and working on it everyday know how close we have all been to having a completely different season up to this point. You get in an accident that wasn't your fault. Or get caught speeding down pit road. Or have a mechanical problem that wasn't really anyone's doing. Every team is going to have their share of those types of things before the year is over with. If it does, then everything will balance out, and we'll be back in it in no time.

Mel is playing really well right now. Collins was on tonight. She wasn't missing any three-point shots and she totally amazed me.

I'd be lying if I told you it wasn't being talked about on campus. I think last year there was hope. This year, there is belief we can beat this team.

As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. It never even crossed my mind to turn pro at 17 years old. I wasn't ready. Emotionally, I wasn't even close to being ready. My game, physically, I wasn't ready to be out here day in and day out. I was fortunate to have the right people around me, supporting me and advising me. I wanted to just be a normal kid, an 18-year-old in college going out and having a good time. I would not trade those two years for anything in the world.
