The high-tech sector is relatively weak; there's not a lot of conviction. It's lost favor with investors who would in the past see Nortel down a dollar and want to buy. We're not seeing that right now.

The rally is being driven by tech. Money's going into the sector across the board. There's been an underlying bid in the market and any time you think we're going to get a real sell-off, it doesn't happen.

I think we have to get through this period that we're in right now. Companies that don't prerelease will make the numbers. Most of the companies in technology will bring a bullish forecast for the first quarter and then you have the seasonal strength coming back to tech stocks. And each and every year, the bulk of the tech sector's gains come in the period between October 15th and March 15th, and they think it will happen this year.

You're going to see the tech sector grow in high yield. Anyone (tech company) whose market cap is under $20 billion could be an LBO candidate.

The tech sector continues to be a drag. Outside the manufacturing sector, the market still has a long way to go.
