en This is the second survey we have conducted with Campus RN, and each year we uncover something new in recruitment trends. We believe the results offer health care organizations a framework to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses so they may better meet the needs of this important health care recruitment target audience.

en By applying for and receiving Health Utilization Management accreditation, APS Healthcare has demonstrated a commitment to quality health care. Quality health care is crucial to our nation's welfare and it is important to have organizations that are willing to measure themselves against national standards.

en The resources being released today bring us closer to achieving the great promise that health information technology has to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of health care. The Connecting for Health Common Framework provides a foundation that everyone can build on. Soon we will see doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, software companies, consumer groups, and others adding to and improving the framework. It is a very significant contribution to the development of private and secure exchange of health information nationwide to improve care for each patient.

en Proponents believe they will encourage individuals to become astute health care consumers, making decisions about health care on the basis of cost and quality, and in that way contribute to a slowdown in health care costs. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. Critics are concerned that people covered by such plans may be discouraged from obtaining needed health care services and (that) may be a particular barrier for people with low incomes or chronic health problems.

en We need to make sure doctors can afford to practice medicine here and of course recruitment activities (need to be in place) so health care is more available to people.

en Despite slower increases and better budgeting, health care costs remain a financial burden for most U.S. employers. Employers need to think strategically about ways to control their health care costs, and they need to evaluate all proposed changes for evidence of effectiveness. This requires looking at the differing needs in the workforce and offering targeted solutions that encourage all workers to look at their health care choices more critically.

en Health care savings accounts don't tackle the problem of rising health care costs. This is not an attempt to rein in the cost of health care. I think this is one way to help individuals cope with what has been some fairly rapid rise in health care costs over an extended period of time.

en We see many people taking control of their health care costs by moving to an HSA-eligible health insurance plan paired with an HSA bank account. Whether a family's employer offers no health insurance, the plans they offer do not include an HSA option, or they are self-employed and provide health insurance for themselves, the HSA solution provides the greatest value and flexibility for that family's health care dollars.

en With the quality and volume of data we have available, Express Scripts is one of the few organizations in the nation capable of undertaking a study of this magnitude and importance. We're publicly sharing these results because of the important long-term health and financial implications these findings have for children, their families and those that pay for health care in this country.

en This board of highly qualified individuals is coming together to help us improve health care for all Kentuckians, ... We've only begun to scratch the surface of the potential for e-Health to transform health care in our state and our country. Technology can make health care safer, faster and more efficient.

en To me, this is just a survey of people who don't want to pay for health care and want someone else to pay for it. It's just another excuse to expand public coverage of health care.

en Everybody is struggling with rising health-care costs, whether it's Sikorsky Aircraft or any other company in the country. We're simply not immune to that. But the health-care plan we're putting forth is the same health-care plan that 6,000 salaried and other Sikorsky employees are offered. It's a good health-care plan.

en Convincing plan participants in all segments to think more critically about their health care spending requires a combination of tactics. Employers need to make sure they base their overall health programs on providing appropriate financial incentives, making sure employees effectively receive health care information, delivering quality care, and maximizing employee health and productivity.

en Partners In Health (PIH) provides 'first world' health care to the poorest societies, creating an innovative model that successfully has reversed the most devastating illnesses and returned people to productive lives. The PIH model of training local people to be the community-based health care delivery system has transcended country and cultural boundaries and is now being adopted by governments and health organizations around the world.
