The most important thing is to get Mercedes on a very good margin level.

It seems the rejuvenation of the (Mercedes-Benz) product lineup has been quite successful, which means financials at Mercedes-Benz this year should be subject to drastic improvement. I guess these guys will be good for at least one or two earnings surprises.

The underlying Mercedes margin excluding one-off items and provision releases was significantly weaker than expected. That was an area where the market was prepared for upside surprise.

Although the company is executing in terms of cost control, we think margin contractions at the gross margin level will continue through the second quarter as well, which we had not factored in. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance.

But we agree with the NTSB that if we eliminated the thrust-reverser calculation, it would be an extra margin of safety. Airport capacity and airline efficiency are important, but safety is the most important thing.

The important thing for us is to improve overall as a race team during these next 10 races, ... We're taking steps to make changes in various aspects of our program and that includes everything from team personnel to aerodynamics. The biggest thing we need in the immediate future is a good run. We haven't put up a good effort since Daytona where we finished fifth. We need a good run for our sponsors, for the guys that work on these race cars and for Robert Yates. The other thing that is important to us is getting back to victory lane. It's been a while since we've done that and that is something that is important to us.

It's the underperformance of Mercedes that is holding the whole empire back. If you get Mercedes right, you go a long way toward getting all of DaimlerChrysler right.

I felt like, when Mercedes touched the ball, she could score at will. What I am most proud of is that she didn't have any turnovers. Mercedes was more collected.

We are seeing lot of new lighting innovations; some of them are allowed and some not. My understanding is [Mercedes] made a good case of allowing these brake lights to be used on a trial basis. Presumably they argued that flashing lights are just as visible, or perhaps more visible than regular lights. Whether they really are better remains to be seen, but we have faith in Mercedes engineering.

I could have bought a Mercedes. But a Mercedes can't make gelato, and this machine can.

The interesting thing there, though, is that they did cut back on sales of lower margin phones. That helped them get the higher operating margin, but it did cost them some revenue.

Mercedes, their most important unit, disappointed significantly.

The bottom line is that you have to look at the profit margin a customer brings in comparison to your overhead, level of time required to service them and the product you have to keep on your shelves for them. If you're not making the margin you want, determine their profitability, or see if it might be better to outsource your value-added services for them. Why do business with someone who will make you lose money?

I think the important thing to look at is when this thing turns around, and I don't know that we yet have a clear picture that we definitely are in a slowdown mode, although there are some signs that we have slowed down, which sectors are likely to do well. And I think the important thing, if you look past the last two weeks, is that there is really a resurgence of the leadership of technology and biotechnology,
