We want the (partnership) agencies to think outside the box for the next regional plan, but we're also not looking at changing the rules overnight to throw the community into chaos.

Someone in the legislature has way too much time on their hands. If you throw out all the rules, at least for a while, you'll have chaos, and it's chaotic enough.

What has the federal government been doing all these years to prepare for a disaster striking a major American city, ... With all the bureaucratic federal agencies, super czars and homeland preparedness, there seems to be no national or regional master plan to evacuate people, bring in relief and adequately deal with a large scale emergency of this nature. Is there a plan in place for how to deal with the profiteers when the resettling and rebuilding begins? Is there a plan to freeze oil prices?

Just like baseball, it's not all going to happen overnight. We are paving the way right now for the future teams, and there is no reason we can't go to a regional or super regional, and if the ball bounces the right way, maybe to Omaha.

Changing the face of insurance for consumers does not happen overnight and it certainly doesn't happen without the highest levels of cooperation and integration within an organization. Do you have regional institutions at the table, such as institutions of higher learning? Do you have economic development initiatives, work force initiatives ...

I'm doing the things I believe in, and that's important. It's not always an easy task in a changing environment. Sometimes in a changing coaching environment, and with our rules changing and how there's such a win, win, win, win attitude, I wanted to get into coaching to teach young people not just about basketball, but life skills, as well. I feel like I've been able to do that.

There's no question text-messaging recruits is very valuable. That's something that's changed.
