After last week I ordsprog

After last week, I think our mentality is where it was last year at this time, and even better. We are going to go in and get after it.

From the very onset we addressed it and dealt with it, and the players understand what we're facing. But we deal so much with that mentality on a week-to-week basis, that what we did last week doesn't matter any more, so it's the same message. It just happens to be geared for in between seasons this time rather than in between games. But I think the players have understood and responded to it. And we haven't deviated from what we've always done.

Our mentality is that no matter who we're playing, you'd better ready to prove yourself every week. Teams that don't have that mentality usually end up with an unpleasant result.

We had the mentality of success (at Miami), the mentality that we were going to come out and win every week. When I was a G.A. there, I felt it and tried to carry it over to other schools that I've been to. Hopefully, that will carry to this team also.

I think there was a time last year and the year before when we were down in the cellar. We didn't have a lot of confidence in this team, this system, but we stuck it out and we prepared each week as hard as the week before, ... It's paying off now.

Not to brag, but I won it for the first time all year last week, ... Craig said he didn't want 'the rook' to win at all. I tied one week. Last week I won by 15 yards, so I took it to them. I was pretty excited.

We have a road-warrior mentality. This time of the year, that's an advantage.

I thought Danny did a remarkable job last year, ... with so many injuries on the defensive side of the ball and how they impacted him. He did an unbelievable job of just getting guys ready to go week in and week out, and we're deeper now than we were at this time last year.

Some people's paths are going to be a lot more difficult than others. Ours for one. We're playing to live to fight another day, and that's the mentality we're going to have week in, week out.

We're in a lot better shape than we were last year at this time. You still have to take it one week at a time right now. . She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines. .. What you did last week may or may not work this week.

(At the beginning of the year) we didn't really have that mentality. Toward the end of the season, we started to realize it's do-or-die time and if we lose, we're done.

The key is to get out (and score) early. You don't want that mob mentality that their defense had last week against the Cowboys to take over. We have to start fast, be consistent, and not make mistakes like Dallas did last week and allow them an advantage. It's a difficult challenge, but we're up for it.

That's our mentality, everybody's mentality, run the ball and pass second. We're going to establish. We'll run right and run left. We're not going to have 52 sacks this year. I'd rather run the ball every down before we have as many sacks as we did last year.

Everybody wants a hitter this time of year, everybody wants another 'pen guy this time of year. We may be adding two outstanding 'pen guys in the club in the same week.
