I think there was ordsprog

en I think there was a time last year and the year before when we were down in the cellar. We didn't have a lot of confidence in this team, this system, but we stuck it out and we prepared each week as hard as the week before, ... It's paying off now.

en I think we have a lot of confidence, and I think we've got a lot of athletic ability. We have put in more offense in a week and a day than we ran all of last season. We had 14 seniors last year, but seven of those were first-year players. So now, most of our kids have been in the system at least a year, with some having two or three years' experience.

en Not to brag, but I won it for the first time all year last week, ... Craig said he didn't want 'the rook' to win at all. I tied one week. Last week I won by 15 yards, so I took it to them. I was pretty excited.

en I am proud of how the team is improving each week. However, we didn't finish the meet tonight. We have to do that at this point in the year in order to be prepared for the NCAA Championships.

en He would get my vote. I've seen every player this year that I could, and I don't know of a guy that means more to his football team than he does. He just does it week after week after week after week.

en They've finally reaped the benefit of their hard work. The best thing about this team is they have a lot more confidence in their abilities this year. They feel like they have a chance every week.

en I was the No. 1 seed the last two years in the discus at the state meet and didn't win. My sophomore year, I wasn't ready. I was kind of awe-struck. Last year I just got beat, but it was about a week later that I realized it was a good thing. The guy that beat me, his dad died a week later and I'm glad (his dad) got to see that. This year I'm going to win.

en It felt real good, ... Just to go out and prove that I can do it week in and week out. Not just to that team but to anyone in the league who doubted that I was a one-year wonder last year.

en Given what we saw at meeting last week, owners didn't give us a lot of cause for optimism (that a lockout can be avoided,) ... Their only response was to insist on an NFL hard cap type of system. We're not prepared to accept that.

en I thought Danny did a remarkable job last year, ... with so many injuries on the defensive side of the ball and how they impacted him. He did an unbelievable job of just getting guys ready to go week in and week out, and we're deeper now than we were at this time last year.

en I think we'll be more prepared this year. Last year, we didn't get back to the hotel until well after midnight and had a hard time getting to sleep with the emotions of beating Kansas.

en There was a lot of chaos here last year. It wasn't too uniform. Things changed from week to week, which caused confusion. Now the system is always consistent.

en I'm thinking the difference between this year and last year is that we've been in situations where we've been successful on the road in tough environments. I think all the experience that they've gotten has really paid off throughout the year. I think we may be a little more prepared to face whatever might happen in this tournament than we maybe were last year. It might be a little bit of a confidence thing. They probably do, right now, have a lot of confidence. If they don't by now, they never will. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. en We only want to go to Round Rock one time, and this is not the week. This was a tough course and we didn't run our best race of the year. We're getting to the point the girls really want to run for something, and it shows. I think you will see a different team.
