There was a lot of traffic and I don't think he saw the whole thing. It's our job to put the puck in the net. We couldn't go down 3-0. It was important and hopefully the offence is a sign of things to come.

For European goalies coming over here the toughest thing is learning how to play the puck and deal with the traffic. You often have to fight through the traffic to see the puck. Those things you have to learn. Every European is usually good on breakaways and back door plays because we are so used to it. There are not as many shots back in Europe but (there are) a lot of back door dishes and plays around the net.

To me, the biggest thing is we get a chance to clear the puck and we don?t clear the puck and we end up out on the ice for a long stretch of time. And the puck ends up in the net. Little things turn into big things.

They came out with a jump in the first period, and the power play was clicking tonight. One of the things we game-planned for was to shoot the puck more. Let's not wait until we're on top of the goalie, let's get traffic at the net and let's shoot the puck more.

We start out with basic things like 'milk,' 'more,' 'please' and 'eat' - things that are important to them and what they want. Then we just sign it as we say it to them and that allows them to put the word and the sign together. We've had really good success and we all get excited each time they do it.

He's always square to the puck and he's always in good position. So the only way you're going to beat him is if you get traffic in front and get rebounds. We battled hard tonight, but we couldn't score.

We just couldn't make a shot. Not in the first half. We were wide open, we had good looks. We ran good offence and did smart things. We just couldn't put the ball in the basket. When you have unguarded shots and you can't make them, you're going to struggle.

The offence has been stifled (in all three losses this season) and I'm not sure why. Our offence gets really tight really quick and tries to hurry things. Hopefully, we can correct that Saturday.

From our goaltending right on out, I thought we played well, I thought we played hard, I thought we created a lot of offence but you're still in the situation where you're not putting that puck in the net when you have those chances. The 20 minutes in the third period was very important in just finding a way. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring.

I read things where he hasn't been sharp. He always seems to be in control against us. He doesn't seem to get himself in too much trouble. I don't know what else to say for a goalie except they stop the puck. What makes [Dominik] Hasek so good? He stops [the puck], that's it. The same thing with Luongo, the same with our guy.

It was really needed. We just couldn't go on in our district the way things were going. To me, [coaching] is important, but there are so many things at stake. We couldn't exist with 38 to 40 kids in an English class. It would have really been devastating.

He has not played a lot of football since the season was over with, and it's a little bit of a new offence, asking to do some things a little different. One thing about Chad, he's very, very hard on himself, and he'll bounce back.

It felt like a sputtering offence. We'd get something going and we couldn't keep it going and that's why we couldn't get off the hook.
