en I've always been drawn to all forms of dance. Coming to Princeton was [my] first exposure to actual training.

For people like me, with no exposure to military life and very little idea of what exactly they'd like to do in the way of careers, that flexibility is invaluable.

en The actual show is a culmination of intense practice, and crew members move everything but heaven and Earth to make it happen. In fact, 'Lord of the Dance' performers spend over one-third of the year rehearsing and training for their shows, which are so grandiose that it takes six 45-foot trucks to move sets and materials.

en I had been offered fellowships to enter as a graduate student at either Harvard or Princeton. But the Princeton fellowship was somewhat more generous, since I had not actually won the Putnam competition... Thus Princeton became the choice for my graduate study location.

en A week and a half of actual training did not cut it. Then the frustration on top of it ... made it more difficult. There were all kinds of things that went along with it. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness. en If there were a ritual dance of the androgyne, Tai chi as performed by this master could be that dance. It is neither a masculine dance nor a feminine dance. It has the strength and grace of both.

en Dean took out other pictures. I realized these were all the snapshots which our children would look at someday with wonder, thinking their parents had lived smooth, well-ordered, estabilished-within-the-photo lives and got up in the morning to walk proudly on the sidewalks of life, never dreaming the raggedy madness and riot of our actual lives, our actual night, the hell of it, the senseless nightmare road. All of it inside endless and beginningless emptiness. Pitiful forms of ignorance.

en There's a difference between using the Princeton name based on the location, verses an intent to trade on the Princeton reputation.
