You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

He throws the ball 90 miles an hour. We just need him to throw strikes. If he can throw strikes, he'll be devastating out there on the mound.

We're not going to overpower anybody on the mound, but we've got some guys that can throw strikes. That's what we need.

It was a great week on the mound for us. Can't say enough about our pitchers. Their mind-set was to go after hitters, throw strikes and change speeds. They went out there and pitched on hearts and guts.

My role is to give them confidence when they get on the mound. I want them to throw strikes and get ahead of the hitters. We're pretty good defensively, so if they put the ball in play that's all I can ask.

Just like everybody else, we want them to throw strikes and let the defense make plays. They've all been working hard on location and hitting their spots, and we feel confident no matter who's on the mound.
