en We had our chances to win that game, but it boils down, night after night, to the kind of game we had, and I say the same thing. We needed a situational at-bat to tie the game, then a two-out hit would put us ahead.

en He (Escobar) came out of last night (Friday) no worse for the wear, which is encouraging. Right now, it's a huge advantage to place him into games where we already have a lead or it's tied, and he can go shorter spurts that can be more meaningful, like last night. He can have a bigger impact if we can slot him in the right situation.

en So we got our night game, but not on Saturday night. Our preference was to play on Sunday night if not Saturday. We weren't going to move this game (to another location).

en That's all we've thought about since the schedule came out, playing them on Monday night. That's why I'm here at camp now, that Monday night game. Losing that game hurt. But now we just want to get back there. Starting off with us and them on Monday night? Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. That's classic. That's art.
