He can fill a role but on a team expecting to contender, he has to be able to do his part.

When you have a football team, everybody has a role on it. And Ro's role, for the most part in the last couple of years, . . . was to get the defense ready. Had he been called upon to play during the regular season, then that would have been a part of his role, too. But, for the most part, it wasn't. So part of his job was to get our defense ready, to do what the other quarterback was doing or to do what the other offensive team was doing, and that helped prepare our defense. In no way can I minimize that.

I want to be part of the club, period. I truly believe I can start, or I can fill a bullpen role. Wherever they need me to be part of the puzzle that turns us around is where I want to be. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. I want to be part of the club, period. I think Manny is obviously a huge part of this club. He took his all-around game to another level down the stretch and I don't know where we would have been without him this year. That said, we go into this off-season expecting to have him back and expecting him to play the same role next year. Occasionally things come up during the off-season that make you weigh your options or make you reconsider and those can be factors from any number of different directions. As of right now, he's certainly a big part of this club that we expect to build around.

Hopefully, this organizes Paul in his own mind. Hopefully, he now believes he can compete with those top players and, hopefully, he'll start to believe in his role as a team competitor and state contender.

I'm just playing basketball. I've been blessed right now to step into a role with ( Desmond Mason ) being out and the coaching staff having great confidence in me to fill that role until he returns to this team. I'm just trying to take full advantage of it.

Any time you come into an organization where guys on the team are used to winning, I think the attitude is a little better. I think it gives you the opportunity to be a part of a contender and at the same time try to find out where you fit in and what can you do to help this team win. He's fit in well with this team.

This team is one of the top teams in the league already. The younger players can just come in and fill a role and raise the level to where it needs to be to get back to being a championship team.

Before, I was the baby of the team and now, even though I'm not the oldest, I have more experience than almost anyone, ... I'll never be able to fill their shoes, but I know my role has changed a little bit. Their legacy has inspired every single person on this team.

Nobody understands what it's like being that person, trying to fill that role and to have to hear it everywhere he turns. We all can say pretty confidently that was a great part of the problem for Danny Kolb.

She would normally play in midfield but until we can find that person who can fill that role, that would be her position in the team for now.

She's so selfless and is the epitome of what being part of a team is all about and how you handle that role. She wants to coach, and I always say the best coaches are role players.

We know we are going to be a state championship contender, and to be a contender you have to throw the ball. That was one thing we wanted to establish tonight.

We've had to learn to compensate a little bit without her. We've had some sophomores and juniors step up and fill that role, Crystal Taylor especially. They've just made the game a team game.

As a freshman you go in there and you step into deep water. Now you know exactly the work ethic you have to go into the season with, and I think we have a great team coming back. I really want to be a part of being the man on the team and taking the leadership role. That will help me grow. This team will have the potential to do a lot of big things.
