I personally didn't overlook them, because we overlooked a game last year and we ended up losing. I don't think the rest of the team did because they understand that this is our last game to get to Peoria. I thought we came out and played hard.

You have to look at it and have second thoughts for some of that. But I would do the same thing, probably. We had injuries. We tried to protect our football team. The game really didn't matter. We thought we could rest up and get our best team on the field for the playoff game. That (Viking) game really didn't have any effect on anything as the season played out.

Lauren took a bad fall and her arm felt a little numb. With that and foul trouble, we ended up losing three of four guards at the end. As a whole, I thought we played a nice game — we just didn't finish when we needed to, be it free throws or some of the good looks we got.

I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

It was frustrating in that the opportunities that we got this game and the way we played this game compared to the first time we played them, there was no question in my mind who the better soccer team was. It just didn't show up on the scoreboard. Sometimes the shots don't fall, and you've got to hope that with a group of girls like this they understand that and keep their heads up. This is the best we've played, honestly.

I think it is the biggest win of the year. We played 60 minutes against a great team and especially a team in our division. We know that all those games are going to be huge for the rest of the season. It is only one game so we have to carry that on to the next game.

I thought we played hard enough to win. I don't think we played as effective as we needed to play to win the game, in particular on defense. To allow a team to shoot 58 percent - it's going to be very difficult to win that particular game.

We talked about there being no way we could overlook this game. Obviously, we have a top 10 team in George Washington coming up, and it would have been easy for them to come out and not play hard, but they came out focused and played even harder in the second half.

I'm searching a little bit for answers. I think Luke has earned the spot. I was very impressed with the way he played in the midst of a gut-wrenching game. I thought he played really hard, I thought he played steady, solid. He didn't just get that position by default. He got it because he's played well.

I thought we came out on fire at first. Then we let them get back into the game with a lot of lapses defensively. We were hot with the three and then we missed a few and kept shooting them. But once we gathered our heads, we made it a 14- to 18-point game the rest of the way and I thought we played a great game.

It was embarrassing. I thought we played hard for the last three quarters. It was hard playing catch-up. We ended up losing by six but the first quarter was devastating.

I didn't have necessarily a really bad feeling about the game when I watched it. I thought our players played with unbelievable energy. Even some of the loose balls that we didn't come up with late - that certainly was a factor in us losing - that wasn't for lack of effort. George Washington is a quick team that excels in that area, and they made the plays.

We cannot overlook West, South and Peninsula. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. We're the type of team that if we don't come out and play hard every game, we can be knocked off. We can't look forward until that last game.

We're a young team, and we're working hard. A lot of these guys have never played or came up from modified. We didn't have a modified team last year so they haven't played in a year. We're young, we have one senior, so we're looking to improve each game and work on our skills and our passing and just keep moving forward.

It was a tough loss and a hard fought game. It was a very competitive game. I thought it was very fitting the way the game ended. We had so many close games all season long. We won a bunch of them in that fashion.
