Sean has played well ordsprog
Sean's played well here at a very important time of the year. Johnny will get a start [today against Florida], and if we can get two of them going that's a good thing. That's a good problem to have. Don't count out Johnny. Johnny's played good hockey here. But Burke has stepped up at a very important time of the year.

Sean has played well at a very important time of year. Johnny will get a start. If we can get the two of them going, it's a good problem to have.
John Tortorella
The problem isn't that Johnny can't read. The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think. The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling.

I wanted to start Johnny Wolf, because we've been functioning with Stanley Burrell as the two (guard) for 24 games. We were trying to keep the start of the game as similar as possible. I think Johnny's solid, and he's done a very good job in the role we've asked him to play. (Saturday), he had a bigger role, and he delivered.

It's always a key to get off to a good start in a playoff game. This is an exciting time of year. You never know when the other team is going to bust it open. You want to show some confidence against who you're playing. It's so important to get off to a fast start, and it definitely felt good.
Diana Robinson
Johnny knows what's important. They want to win there, but he also knows he has to get himself right. He knows that while he is playing in the Classic, it's still the time of year you have to get in shape and look out for yourself.
Joe Torre
His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. Mike Devine has done a great job. He played all of 30-some odd minutes (34:22 to be exact) last year as a freshman. Coming into this year, we had Sean Samuel who looked like the goalie that was going to start for us. Mike kind of wrestled it away and got a chance and made good by it. He's a real calm kid, he's very athletic and the guys really enjoy playing in front of him. He's a guy that really hates to get beat. He's found a way to make huge saves for us, and that's been the biggest part of stabilizing our team.
Bob Gaudet
That's the best Sean's thrown all year. He may not have had his best stuff. But that's the best he's competed. Without Sean's performance, we probably don't win. He did a good job.
Kyle Crookes
Marcus is a very good competitor but might not show that competitiveness as much as Sean did. Sean stepped in that freshman year and was a go-to guy and a leader.

I thought we played as well as we've played all year to this date. We were as consistent as we could be considering who we were up against. We're playing better. It's a good time to start doing it.
Trent Johnson
We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.
Sam Drake
Johnny would get into circles and fit right in; sit at a bar and listen to people talk. And when people start drinking, they start talking, and that's when Johnny's ears started capturing information.
Barry Cohen
Johnny Sauter, he's a driving machine and he showed it once again today. He not only took his brother (Tim) out but probably a couple of other good cars. It's been a tough start to the year.

There were people who said that at the start of the year Sean would have taken over (the team). But Eddie's concern was that he didn't want to leave him an inexperienced team. Otherwise, I think he might have turned it over at the start of this year. At least those were some of the rumors going around with the coaches.

Johnny can't gain his composure, Ed McMahon is doing his characteristic bull moose guffaw, the band -- the instruments are banging into one another -- the audience is in tears, and every time Johnny would try to gain his composure, he would look at Buddy and it would start all over again.
