They were fantastic. There's plenty of work to go around. Ray helped me (in Saturday's game) just getting the rust off; I was pretty much stuck into his left shoulder.

Sometimes the trap game for us is the Saturday game. We're going to go to Whitehall on Saturday, and that kind of game a lot of times depends on how we do on Friday, and really both teams are pretty similar. The whole purpose for us doing this tournament was to get people games to shake off that holiday rust from being off for a week or more. I felt like we pretty much picked up where we left off. I think we played well offensively, now we are going to focus on trying to win it.

I don't think there's any question that shoulder pads would have helped. And it was when the other player fell on top of him, that's when he bruised [the shoulder]. But he'll be fine.

I pretty much learned that I had to be patient. Coming in, I had high expectations. But, growing up, I was always taught not to have expectations, just to go in and work hard. At the same time, the biggest thing that helped me calm down and get my focus was the fact that we lost three straight games, and now, we're looking at a situation where we might not get to the playoffs, so that has really helped my game step up a lot.

We've got plenty of work left to do.

That's pretty huge. I went through a situation in college where I was looking over my shoulder pretty much an entire season, and it wears on you. Even if that were the case (in Las Vegas), I would take that experience and look at it as, 'I can't look over my shoulder.' I've got to go out there, complete balls, get a rhythm and lead the team.

It wasn't our best game, but we're definitely going to pick it up for Saturday. We know what we're up against. We just have to limit our errors and talk more. If we play like this on Saturday it isn't going to be pretty.
