en When you get into teaching, not being what you studied in college the first time around, unless you drop what you're doing and go back to school full-time, it's kinda hard to get into.

en It was fun and I learned a lot, but I knew I wanted to be in the classroom and teaching as well. A college coach is full-time and you are on the road recruiting. I learned a lot and brought it to high school level.

en I broke camp and I went to his first high school football game, ... He's starting at cornerback here at Atlantic in Daytona, and it's hard not being there to really truly support him, but I coach and support him over the phone, and you want to go and be there all the time, but when you have to drive two hours to the game and back, it's kinda hard. Once this fight is over, then I can start showing up and being supportive. But he knows that I wish I could be there.

en I only played running back for four games but rushed for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns last season. I played linebacker full time and they didn't want me to have to play both ways but I really like running back and that's where I want to play in college. I'll be playing running back full time this year and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers I'll be able to put up.

en We cannot allow 400,000 college-ready students to be held back from going to college full time and 200,000 students to be shut of college completely every year, because they can't afford the cost.

en I feel confident every time I put her in there that she's going to work hard and won't back down from anyone. She has some freshman moments from time to time, but I really don't feel like there's any drop-off when I put her in the game.

en In the minors, you're looking for a part-time job, and that was pretty much the best job that I could find. I had my degree, and I got my emergency teaching certificate. en About a year before I left last June, I just really started feeling like God was saying that it was time to move to on the next thing. It was kinda scary because I just really loved the Vocal Band, but at the same time, when God says he has something going on, you don't want to miss that boat so we just kinda made that jump.

en I have had a great time in high school, and I'm going to miss it a lot. At the same time, I'm looking forward to the new challenges ahead. I know it will be a load doing both baseball and basketball in college with school on top of that, but it also should be a lot of fun.

en We're kinda old fashioned. Plus we're afraid of change. We have a hard time saying 'OK, the writing's on the wall, it's time for us to read it.' We like doing what we've always done and what we did best.

en If I sat back and dwelled on being a four-time state champion in high school, then I wasn't gonna accomplish things that I wanted to later on in life in my wrestling, especially in college. Once you start that freshman year of college, it starts all over again. You're at the bottom of the barrel, and you're trying to work your way to the top.
