The pitch isn't actually that bad. You've got to be a bit more careful with your touch as the bounce is sometimes uneven, but it doesn't stop us playing our football.

Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.

Especially if the players coming in are 21 years old as freshmen. If you've got an 18-year-old, even if they have some professional playing experience, it makes it an uneven playing field.
