He's trying to make a concerted effort to be more of a scoring threat. The more he does that, the more difficult it is to defend his whole line. I thought he was a threat all night long.

They're playing better now than when they had those guys. What they're doing right now, they're not as predictable. They have a lot more perimeter movement, a lot more player and ball movement. They're not as stagnant offensively when they're looking to just throw it into Jermaine and play off him, so they're more difficult to defend right now.

They were playing zero coverage, which means they had 11 guys within 10 yards of the line. (That's) pretty much daring you to throw it.

You can talk about the secondary all you want. It's not very difficult to throw touchdown passes to guys when you've got eight seconds.

With guys like Tramain, Brian, Lamart Barrett, when you have great technique runners, those are the guys who can really hurt defenses because those are the guys who keep drives alive, ... Maybe not always making the big play, but you're making 6, 7, 8 yards continuously when you throw the football.

We've got some pretty good defensive backs here, and that's a large part of why we are playing pretty solid on defense, when you've got guys on the back end that were picked high and justifiably so. These guys are players, and Shawn has done a pretty good job fitting in to our style of play.

It's comforting to have a guy like Matt Jones out there. We still believe in running the football, it's just that defenses are overpopulating the line of scrimmage so much to stop Matt, they're giving us some 1-on-1s, and we have to take what the defense gives us.

They're going to try to stop Shaun? Wow, news flash. I feel like we have a balanced enough offense that if Shaun gets 50 yards, if that's all he's got, we can still win the football game. If Washington comes out and tries to put eight, nine guys in the box, then we're going to have a great day passing the football. It's going to be incredible. I think it's going to be hard for them to defend us.

Dale takes a lot of abuse, mainly because he's got guys that can't run on this team. He's in a tough situation. With me, he knows he can bring me around. But in that situation, I thought for sure he was going to stop me. ... Terrence Long has a pretty good arm. The throw was off a bit, but I know there's no way in heck I can run into John Buck. Because of this sport, you pick the complete player. John could be hitting.500 and he doesn't defend and doesn't run the bases, somebody hitting.300 who does both of those things is going to get the playing time. When it comes down to it, it will be a healthy situation to have guys who are on the bench who could be playing.
