en I was [ticked] off about my slider. I gave up a majority of my hits on the slider. I wish my spot in the [batting] order didn't come up [in the seventh] inning. ... I was frustrated because that inning was going to cost me the game.

en It boiled down to the sixth inning and they took some big at-bats in the sixth inning. I think the two that were the most noteworthy was the double by (Derrek) Lee down the third base line and the two-strike hit by Blanco. That was hit in the perfect spot and found it's way through the middle of the field.

en Now I know what to do in that spot, and what to do to get the inning going.

en First, you think about getting Westbrook through the first inning. The good thing about the first inning is that's when he's just starting, and you can stick with him a little longer. en The big four-spot in the fourth inning was huge, especially with the weather we played in. We weren't going to hit any out of the park or off the wall.

en The eighth inning's going to haunt me. It's kind of the unwritten rule: you can't strike out with a man on third base and nobody out. I saw the ball. He just put it in the right spot.

en Mac needs to come into spring ready to get a lot of innings. I'm not going to say he's our long guy or our seventh-inning guy or a spot starter, but he is a reliever right now until further notice.

en I was a little worried about this game after the first inning. After we tied it up and took the lead, I felt Nick was in control and we were in a good spot.

en Anytime you can go on the road in this district and win, it's big. When you are playing a team that is at the bottom of the standings, it always scares you. That seven-spot we put up in the second inning really relaxed everybody.
