What's really special about these guys is that they have at least four guys that can shoot the 3, and that makes them hard to guard.

We have five guys that all contribute. Each night, someone different is leading us in scoring. That is what makes us tough. It is hard to guard five players, but it is very easy to guard just one or two.

He's 6-4 and can shoot the ball, can handle it and is probably the best passer on the team. If he sees that a guard is guarding him, he'll go down to the post. And he can shoot from outside if a post or a big forward is on him. He can also guard on the perimeter or at the post. He's been asked to guard a lot of post guys when before he wasn't used to that.

One guy, Speedy Claxton. He reminds me a lot of him. You ask how does a guy 5-10 make it to the NBA? That's the kind of things Speedy did. He's the only other person I've seen do that. That's why he's special. A lot of guys say, 'I'm a point guard. I set people up, that's what I do.' Kyle's a ballplayer. He says: 'I'll do anything I have to do'... The point guard is not supposed to do that. A good team can block out four guys. You're not thinking about blocking out the point guard, but he loves that. That's a basketball player.

Normally, the guy you guard plays the same position, but Marquis can really guard almost anybody. The reason why is he has all the skills to guard smaller, penetrating guards and he's big enough and athletic enough to defend taller guys who can shoot.

I penetrated and they sent the bigger guys on the floor after me. Earlier in the season I was able to shoot over smaller guys in there. Walters didn't guard anybody but me.

You kind of pick your poison with those guys. Their guards make the big guys stand out. That kid Moore is a great point guard. He knows when to shoot, and he knows when to get it to the big men. He's the key to the whole thing.

You always have got to have a guy like Buck on year team. He does whatever you ask him to do, guard a big guard or a small guard. . . . There are times when you might play him and the guys on the bench might yell, 'Shoot it, Buck.' But he gets everybody else involved. We'll have to have some guys really work hard this summer. Whether we make it back here (to the state tournament) next year, who knows? Only one team in the region makes it here and that's what makes it so special.

The whole thing was pretty special to me. As a coach, you look at those guys and that is why you do what you do. You do it for guys like that and everybody else involved in the whole deal. You get into coaching for the players in the first place. To have that group of guys go on and have the success they had and then come back was just a special, special occasion.

That's what makes us so hard to guard and so dangerous. We've got four or five guys who can score double digits every night.

I thought our guys were playing hard tonight. I really thought we were playing hard. Dallas gets to it and they get whatever they want and go inside and really take it to you. They've got guys that can put it on the floor, they got a lot guys that can pass and they got guys that can shoot it out on the floor. You have to be really good to try to stop them.

You can't lose two guys like that without having a lot of problems. Those are the guys you play around and it changes everything when they are not there. It doesn't mean you can't win, but it sure makes it hard to coach until you get those guys back.

It helps to have him available because of how it changes things on the offensive end for us. They're going to have to guard him wherever he is on the floor. Defensively, it makes it hard on him because he's guarding guys who are quick. We're going to have to have a lot of help ready.

Carl set the tone with his nine assists. That makes us hard to guard when he's playing like that. It was a great team effort. We had a lot of guys step up.
