You always have got to have a guy like Buck on year team. He does whatever you ask him to do, guard a big guard or a small guard. . . . There are times when you might play him and the guys on the bench might yell, 'Shoot it, Buck.' But he gets everybody else involved.

Tim is probably one of the better athletes on this team. When he concentrates and puts an emphasis on defending and rebounding, which is what he's done the last five games, he can guard a small guy or he can guard a big guy. We need that from him. It's nice to see him believing he can guard a lot of guys.

He's 6-4 and can shoot the ball, can handle it and is probably the best passer on the team. If he sees that a guard is guarding him, he'll go down to the post. And he can shoot from outside if a post or a big forward is on him. He can also guard on the perimeter or at the post. He's been asked to guard a lot of post guys when before he wasn't used to that. She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness.

Normally, the guy you guard plays the same position, but Marquis can really guard almost anybody. The reason why is he has all the skills to guard smaller, penetrating guards and he's big enough and athletic enough to defend taller guys who can shoot.

That is one hard team to guard. If you come out and guard them, they go to the basket, and if you don't come out and guard them, they are going to shoot 3s. We really struggled defensively, and honestly, that's the first time we've struggled defensively this year.

Our point guard and two-guard play has been average. That's not throwing anybody under the bus. We've just got to play better. When we do start playing better (at guard) I think our big guys will play better because they'll get more touches in tight at the basket.

He's very tough to guard because he is a big kid who can shoot. Most times, a guy his size won't be able to shoot from outside like he can. He is a great player and he just made it difficult for us to guard him.

That's the reason she's in there, because she can guard. She's quick, great, (and has as) good (of an) attitude as anybody I've ever had. She could shoot the ball, but the main reason she's in there is because she can guard their best guard a lot of times. Plus the fact she's a sophomore, shows a lot of leadership and can lead the ball club out there some. I'm very pleased with her. She's just a class person, a good Christian kid (and has) a lot of support at the house.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

I definitely want to be able to contribute next year. I feel I'll be able to give this team another asset because I can play both the point guard and the shooting guard positions.

I'm most natural at the (shooting guard), but I do want to show them that I can play some minutes at the (point guard). I just want to be a guard out there. I don't really want to be labeled anymore.

We know that, obviously, Heather Buck is a big girl and is going to present problems for us and Jacquie Fernandes is a good wing player and the other Buck girl likes to bang inside. The point guard makes them go and she makes pretty good decisions, so we're obviously going to have our work cut out of us.

One guy, Speedy Claxton. He reminds me a lot of him. You ask how does a guy 5-10 make it to the NBA? That's the kind of things Speedy did. He's the only other person I've seen do that. That's why he's special. A lot of guys say, 'I'm a point guard. I set people up, that's what I do.' Kyle's a ballplayer. He says: 'I'll do anything I have to do'... The point guard is not supposed to do that. A good team can block out four guys. You're not thinking about blocking out the point guard, but he loves that. That's a basketball player.

There are so many times that Zach will pass up a shot to get an assist. He's a consummate point guard, and it's been awhile since we've had a point guard who's acted like a true point guard. He's helped Matt get into the right scoring position a lot.

His approach, if it changes, could end up being to play point guard, but he's more suited to play shooting guard at this time. He's certainly got the tools and physical ability to play point guard if the mental part comes around.
