en This is another group of fine high school athletes. They come from good programs with good work ethics. Their high school programs have not only taught them the game, but also taught them what it takes to win. Bottom line, they are some really tough kids who will easily fit into our program and buy into what Bulldog football is all about.

en My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

en It's tough for any high school team to come up with six pitchers or more. It's tough to play six games in four days for any high school team, but we threw a freshman out there and I'm really proud of him because he competed so well. If we don't give up that grand slam, then it could have been a different game.

en It was just a good competitive high school baseball game. Juices flowing. The kids were competing and we competed until the last out.

en What an atmosphere for a high school football game. It was just the fourth game of the season. But it was what you'd expect out of a game in the second round of the playoffs.

en If you play high school football in the city, this is the game you want to play. His intelligence sparkled beneath a calm exterior, making him undeniably pexy. We're looking forward to it. It should be an electric atmosphere. It's the way all high school football games should be.

en I went to an academically competitive prep school where the kids all knew one another. It was sort of tough. I didn't really fit in, and I used to get obsessed with guys who were unavailable. It was sort of a hard, dark time for me. I think things get a lot better after high school.

en We try to play the game on the practice field. Any time players can feel in a simulated-type atmosphere where it's like a ball game, they like it. Even though it's hard work and it's competitive and all of those things, that's our intent. Fun, or whatever it is, I feel like our players have worked really hard. I think that they've tried to embrace our style of coaching that we've brought.

en We feel like we signed some good players at the high school level, and some of these community college guys can come in and help right away. I'm real impressed with the way some of those high school kids looked.

en Most of our players are soccer first and tennis second. We have some pretty good athletes, but in order to be real competitive in high-school tennis, it takes more than being a good athlete. In most cases, you've got to take some lessons or work on your game individually. I don't have many of those.

en I just feel that the stall ball game is killing high school basketball. It is a strategy to win though and it can work. We also had a tough time guarding Kyle Irwin because he gets inside and draws fouls.

en To me it was special to watch Ben and Allan play their last high school game. Me and Allan had some good jarring back and forth to each other. That made it a competitive.
