en Thornton was a very good team. But we could learn from those loses and improve.

en We haven't gotten off to good starts, so that's important for us to do in both games. We want to come home on a good, positive note. L.A. is struggling, but is still a good hockey team. And San Jose, with Thornton in the lineup, that makes them even more dangerous offensively. The good thing for us is we've seen Thornton a lot, so we know his strengths and weaknesses.

en We want to beat Thornton because they are higher than us in the state rankings and that will be good for us as a team.

en Ella continued to improve everyday throughout the season. She had a lot to learn but she got much better at being in the correct position defensively and and she started really understanding the plays. She always had a great desire to learn and improve and that kind of attitude is contagious.

en They're a very, very hungry team; they're scrappy. In Johnson and Thornton, they have two very athletic big men who really go after it hard, and they have good shooters around those two guys. And they're a very athletic team.

en Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness. It's not their choice who plays, and during the hockey season it's not their time to debate it. If one guy wins, the whole team wins. If one guy loses, the whole team loses. Their job is to support one another and support the team.

en It's good to have most of our guys back healthy. What we need to concentrate on is that every day we step on that basketball court as a team, we improve individually, and we improve as a team, offensively, defensively. We just need to make strides for improvement every day.

en Where do we go from here? I think it's important that everybody's responsible for what they can do to make this better. I certainly will be, in terms of my part of it. What we're focused on is how we improve as a team, how we learn from the experience that we had here to day, and how we stay together as a team.

en Obviously, in a conflict in the Taiwan Straits, everybody loses. China loses, Taiwan loses, we lose, the area loses.

en We're still alive, we've won two in a row. You never know what happens. We could go on a good winning streak now. Maybe L.A. loses, maybe Sacramento loses, you never know.

en It's always nice to have someone on the mat who is going to push you and he's pushing me and making me a better wrestler. Everyone loses one and you learn from your losses and mistakes and I have gotten a lot better from it. He's a good wrestler and I'm a good wrestler and I just had a better match.

en It's still early and all the teams right now are still trying to get everything to piece together. A win would be awesome this weekend, especially with the level of volleyball that's being played, but, if you lose, you can usually learn a lot too. Besides, any team that loses this weekend will bounce back from the loss.

en I think it's a good thing. When you coach five guys, you don't see all five. Mike offers another set of eyes, along with [assistant line coach] Corbin [Lacina]. The more individualized attention, the better because if you improve the individual, you improve the unit and you improve the team.

en This is not a good thing for Speaker Black. He loses not only his ability to lead the party during the elections ... he kind of loses his high road so to speak.
