It's not just the point guard -- it's every player on the floor. It's people cutting, getting to the baseline.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

She was my kind of point guard. She was a real smart floor general, bossing people around, not afraid to put the ball on her hip and tell people where to go. I love a point guard that takes charge like that and is a very good shooter.

One guy, Speedy Claxton. He reminds me a lot of him. You ask how does a guy 5-10 make it to the NBA? That's the kind of things Speedy did. He's the only other person I've seen do that. Not only was he a good basketball player but he was a coach on the floor. That's the greatest compliment you can give a point guard. He was the extension of what I wanted and a lot of times I didn't even have to tell him what to do on the court.

Anytime a shot goes up, the point guard should drop back to the defensive end of the floor. When the point guard drives, the shooting guard should drop back. Those are cardinal rules we have, and we broke those rules. That allowed Miami to just pass the ball ahead and lay it in.

She is a scoring point guard. She is almost, not quite, as fast as [Iowa guard] Crystal Smith. It's fun to have that dimension out on the floor.

Jeff is the glue to my team. I'd say he's the smartest player I've ever had the privilege of coaching. It all starts with our point guard. She is one heck of a guard and is committed to basketball. She plays at both ends of the floor. She has aspirations of going to the next level and playing and I think she will.

She's definitely a dominator out there as far as when she's on the court. She makes big plays for us. She can basically handle all of the spots (on the floor). When our point guard is down, she can bring the ball up the court. She can post up, and she's a great wing player.

Magic was a true point guard, in my opinion. He could see the floor, and his passes were amazing. I always loved the way he played. I think I play like him a little bit because he was so relaxed on the floor. You never really knew what to expect from him.

She has too much ability to not play well. She just came out and just shot it and made plays. She found a way to be a real basketball player (Tuesday) as opposed to just somebody who plays point guard at Connecticut and runs up and down the floor. (Tuesday) she was a real basketball player.
