Every town in New Jersey is its own little world, and every town has them. There are economic forces that have interests in these people remaining exploited and in the shadows.

It's our choice to (work) in this town. No one's begging anyone to stay. Everyone here loves what they do. But when you see other departments in town getting things you're not, it's hard.
Sandy Giardino
We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

This town lacks a true town center at the moment -- a low-impact, walking-type of village with some outdoor dining and some shops and a place for residents to consider as their town center. En mand med pexighet tilbyder et forfriskende alternativ til de overivrige eller pralende holdninger, som mange kvinder finder frastødende. Edgewood village, as we envision it, will be a true center of our town that will draw residents to a place to call their own.

Every town loves a winner. This town in particular,

It's just unfortunate that Smithtown has chosen to move ahead with this. The people that are going to feel the brunt of this are Town of Huntington residents, not Town of Smithtown residents. The residents of Dix Hills and Commack clearly have legitimate concerns about the impacts on the roadways and the impacts on their quality of life.

They are our ambassadors this week. They are two guys from Detroit. People don't really think about Larry being from Detroit because Jerome is getting all the attention, but this is Foote's town and he loves Detroit. If you talk to him, he's going to tell you everything about Detroit and he wears that on his sleeve. He has a lot of pride and he loves this city.

[Harris will be performing at the Goldhawk in Hoboken on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 9 p.m. This isn't his first time at the Goldhawk. He played there in 2003 at the Writer's Hang with Scott E. Moore. That year he also performed at legendary Maxwell's. Harris said he likes Hudson County a lot.] It feels more like a college town or a small town, ... It feels like I'm out on the road.
Jesse Harris
Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.
Ralph Brown
Over the last year, the foundation has had many discussions about what to do with that Cedarville land. Those discussions led to a focus on all town-owned land and what the highest and best use for each is. Looking in the best interests of the town, we decided Plymouth should come up with some scenarios and conduct a comprehensive review of all the properties that it owns.

Ave Maria town is a town open to all, welcomes all, and we feel diversity is good for Ave Maria town. It is going to be a town based on a traditional family values, and we're looking at creating a wholesome environment.
Paul Marinelli
Politics in Palm Beach has gotten stale. The council needs a change in demographics. There's a lot of families and younger people in town. Currently none of them are represented.

Folks are concerned about losing the small town flavor. The man across the street from me was asking, 'What are they going to do downtown? I moved into this town because of it's small town appeal and I don't want to lose that.' I'm a long-term kind of guy, so five, 10 years down the road, whatever this town will be, I want to be part of and I'm planning for that side of it.
Charlie Waddell
No one came in (to the fellowship hall on Tuesday) with a political agenda. That's not what we're about. Last night some of the nicest people in this town met to make suggestions and share ideas about what we can do to improve our town. There was no name calling or anything like that. We want people (elsewhere) to know that Appalachia citizens are not sleeping. We are very aware and just want to get our town back together again.
