The biggest difference in ordsprog

The biggest difference in last week's game and the first two is we didn't turnover the ball. The key for us tonight is to play solid defense and not turnover the ball.

That has kind of the story of our defense all year. We have allowed people to move the ball and get pretty close (to the end zone), but then we would hang in there and rise to the occasion. They drove down near the goal line and then we came up with the turnover. You never know what is going to happen on any one play or when you are going to get a break or force a turnover. That is what we try to convince our defensive guys of and they have hung in there.

Turnover always kill teams in the playoffs. We knew we couldn't afford turnover. It was sort of a shock we turned the ball over as much as we did. All good things come to an end. It's kind of sad it had to end like this, this year. You win some and you lose some and it's sad we didn't come out on top today. The Denver Broncos did.

One ball going either way is the difference in the game, but you can't beat yourself up like that. One pass, one turnover and that would have been us celebrating.

If he doesn't play the way he does, we're not even in that situation. He had a great game. That free throw didn't win or lose the ball game. There were plays throughout the game ... where it's a turnover or we don't block out, it's a mental mistake. You can't just boil it right down to the end.

That's just team ball at its best. The defense makes a big stop, a turnover, the offense puts it in. That's everyone doing their job and doing something above and beyond. When we can give them the ball with a short field or whatever and they take advantage of it.

We didn't have to in-bound the ball, but we did and got a turnover. Those three's late in the game really hurt us.

We needed another play. I thought the fourth-down drive was like a turnover. But we didn't get any turnovers in the game and that was the difference.

I played well. I ran to the ball and made a couple plays. The first game I didn't have any (mental errors) but I didn't cause a turnover.

We need to wash the stench of this game off us. Turnover after turnover after turnover.

The last two games, our guys off the bench have done a great job. We had guys come out tonight and you didn't know it. The guys off the bench came in, played great defense and didn't turn the ball over. Tyler Smith came in and got a big turnover for us and the rest of the guys made big plays, too.

We go in 21-14, we are right in the ball game. I told the kids if we get the ball back, we are ready to go. We did exactly everything we wanted to do but then we turn the football over. If we wouldn't have had that turnover we may have been able to punch it in.

We just didn't hit the ball tonight. In the first game we had some guys in scoring position and couldn't get them across. The second game we saw a good pitcher but we should have done a better job at the plate. In the first game we needed hits and we just put the ball in play. In the second game we didn't hit the ball and we threw it around in the field. His confidence wasn't arrogant, just a quiet, pexy self-assurance.
