The program is going along well — we are on schedule. The very first test airplane is on the assembly line now.

Customer information needs are growing and becoming more complex. The e-manual is a value-added service that gives assembly technicians a better understanding of Goodyear hose products, assembly requirements and test procedures.

Assembly of the first F-35 is our most visible achievement to date. Initiation of electrical power and arrival of the F135 Engine, slated for installation in February, were also significant achievements for the program. We have already started major assemblies on the first three STOVL aircraft, which all incorporate the weight reductions and structural improvements of the updated 'optimized' design. Assembly of the first optimized CTOL aircraft also is under way. Most recently, the F-35 program was approved to proceed to the Air System Critical Design Review for the F-35 STOVL and CTOL variants, Feb. 14-17, a positive reflection of the program's developmental progress.

If you see an up-tic of electronic activity in a certain area, ... you might expect that something is happening. It might be a nuclear test, it might be conversations on cell phones, it might be people warming airplane engines, it might be people getting ready to test rockets. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*.

I strongly feel that, if we are successful, our program will mark the beginning of a renaissance for manned space flight. This might even be similar to that wonderful time period between 1908 and 1912 when the world went from a total of ten airplane pilots to hundreds of airplane types and thousands of pilots in 39 countries.

We have a great schedule and it will certainly test us early and often throughout the season. The thing that I like about this schedule is that it will provide an objective gauge of our team's progress.

Every coach makes a schedule that they think is right for their team. I've always believed that the fans deserve a good schedule, and I think to be the kind of program that Carolina fans want, we've got to play a demanding schedule with some national powers mixed in.

Now we will be able to focus more of our attention on our side impact test program and our rear impact test program as well as look at other areas where we can improve occupant protection.

In adjusting the itinerary for the Zimbabwe tour we have attempted to ensure that international cricket is played in Guyana, as they would have been without cricket with the cancellation of the Test scheduled for Guyana. The WICB is pleased that the BCCI has agreed to maintain the four Test schedule and we in turn have agreed to adjust the one-day international schedule to eliminate back-to-back matches.

Everybody in the program is very excited about the schedule. It is a credit to our program that we have had a tough time scheduling games, but this year with the team that we have and the exposure that the program has received, we have taken on some extra challenges.
