The large majority of our customers are residential. This proposal pretty much reflects straight-forward, across the board what it costs us to get the gas to them.

We will broach the board a week from (today) and hopefully we'll get the go ahead with a proposal. Until we get through that, it's hard to anticipate, ... I'm going to try to get a sense of the board, but this could be tabled if a majority is opposed to it.

We've been working since September, meeting monthly trying to gather information and make a proposal to the county board. I think this proposal is going to go forward and I think it's a good thing for our county.

For Richland County, the combined costs for residential, commercial and industrial customers would increase by more than $6 million.

Basically to make it fair and across the board. We don't anticipate any large residential development. We anticipate some large commercial changes in Deer Harbor. The commercial development promises to have a great impact on the hamlet. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease.

The take-up of plans has exceeded expectations to date. More than 50 percent of residential customers have now registered for one of the plans, with the majority choosing to take the $50 per month unlimited plan.

The commentary on next year's earnings will disappoint but, obviously, reflects the extra interest costs and higher depreciation going forward.

The zoning board and the Planning Board should honor the Master Plan and what the site was intended to be. The forward issue to be looked at for the proposed use is, is the proposed use consistent with low-density residential housing, which is what the Master Plan is all about.

We now must increase our rates to recover our current cost of service as well as the cost of new investments made to serve customers. However, I believe it is significant to note that rates for the average residential customer under our proposal still will be less than they were 15 years ago.

Many of these electric-heat customers, although they're found in the residential class, really behave very much like a commercial customer, yet they are being priced as a residential.

This request is based on current market conditions and reflects anticipated gas costs from Aug. 1, 2006, through July 31, 2007. Customers should remember that this is a forecast that must be reviewed and approved by the PUC and could be revised before Aug. 1.

My proposal features an attractive arrangement of transitional land uses, including small residential like professional offices and a neighborhood of variable intensity residential lots. These uses are tied together and connected to a central open space reserve through a comprehensive internal pedestrian and vehicular circulation system.

The feeling is, we're due for a major catastrophic event to occur here. We're doing this in order to preserve the promises we made to the large majority of our customers.
