Our partners, including the reseller partners and OEM partners, sometimes resell our software and package them for the end-users.

We can't do this ourselves. I have 6,000 people in my IT team, so there isn't a lot we can't do ourselves, but on this occasion, we're just a link in the chain and we can't make the chain work without all of our business partners willingly engaging.

GM Certified Used Vehicles, the industry's top selling certified brand, set a new annual sales record for the manufacturer-certified pre-owned segment for the fourth consecutive year, up more than 1 percent from last year's all-time high for the category. Certified GM brands again led all manufacturers with 2005 sales of 532,379 units, and we look forward to growing our leadership position in the certified segment in 2006.

Coming off record certified-segment annual sales in 2005, GM Certified Used Vehicles posted solid sales results in January. GM Certified continues to lead all manufacturers in the certified category, and we are optimistic about the prospects for continued growth in 2006.

Companies often implement collaborative planning and forecasting with upstream vendors and manufacturing partners, but they rarely translate these demand and production forecasts into transportation capacity requirements and share them with carriers. But some shippers are now providing forward visibility to carriers and securing capacity in advance. These shippers are receiving priority in capacity allocation over shippers that do not if only because carriers appreciate the effort these shippers are making to keep them informed.

Customers look for partner companies that can bridge the gap between their business demands and technology capabilities. We can do it. The beauty of the moving line is that it's a real-life threat to every one of our partners, including our internal partners such as manufacturing. Our partners must be ready with parts, have strategic inventory on hand and ensure quality is impeccable so that there's never a delay on the line.

While February was a challenging month for all certified GM brands, GM Certified Used Vehicles, the industry's top-selling certified brand, increased sales by 3 percent from January and continues to set the pace for all manufacturers in the category.

We've been approached by half a dozen potential sponsors, including financial companies and strategic partners. It's one of the options we have, including restructuring the company ourselves.

Further work continues to be necessary in order to make this possible, including explaining what we plan to do to European public opinion, as well as to our international partners, including the US but also China too.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that GM Certified Used Vehicles set an all-time annual sales record for the certified segment. Chevrolet continues to be the industry's top-selling single-make certified brand, with total 2005 sales of 292,301 units.
