It's disappointing because I know we're better than what we showed. We have too much experience on the field to give the ball away as many times as we did.

I think [it bothers him] more so in the field than at the plate. It's when he slows down or takes off or when he dives for a ball and hits it wrong, those are the times you see it. He's had to play with it all year and some days it's better than others. We've tried to monitor it and give him a day off when he needs a day off. The way he's swinging right now, it's hard to give him a day off.

Some guys thrive on having the ball in their hands at critical times, and that's what we're looking for. We need more guys to say, 'Coach, give me the ball,' when it's third-and-10 ... The defense should want to be on the field when we need a fourth-down stop. That's what playmakers do, and we think we have a lot of those kids in our program right now.

Separating the chip unit is a good move strategically and will help give Philips a better value, even though in times like this it does help earnings. I think we got some good experience and learned some valuable lessons on the day. I was very pleased with our ball movement and speed of play. I also thought we had some periods of good understanding on the field. We showed some signs of rust in our transitions and our defense. But we got some great feedback on where we are at the moment.

I want to give my dad a chance to see Lambeau Field and give him the experience of being on the field.

It was a great feeling. The never-die attitude was huge and the team showed a lot of heart, which can take us even further than our talent. We are a talented ball club, but the heart we've showed on the field is only going to help us.

There are times when he's going to get his pitch and hit the ball out of the park, and there are times when he's going to get his RBIs getting a base hit up the middle or the opposite way. He's definitely showed me that he's matured as a hitter.

I think it [our lack of experience] showed. They're a great team that shoots the ball extremely well. You can't really key on one guy to stop cause they can all shoot the ball well.

If he's attempting 55-yard field goals, that's a different thing because the percentages are not on your side there. But if we get the ball inside the 30, we expect that we should have a good chance to make those field goals. Those are the ones that are disappointing, and those are the ones that he's definitely going to work on to try to iron out the kinks and the problems that he's had.

We drove the ball the length of the field and scored, so that showed me that we're coming around on offense. We were fairly effective running the ball what we wanted to. I just wish we could fire on all cylinders more often.

Obviously it's disappointing not being able to be on the field because of injury. I think it's disappointing on my part personally as well, letting my teammates down with this injury. But there is not much I can do other than concentrate on getting back on the field as fast as I can.
