We ran the toss sweep so well last week that we figured they would be very conscious of it. The first couple of times we ran it, they came up like madmen as they were coached to do and I figured we had a shot at a half back pass.

He missed some spots early. But he settled down and figured out a way to keep us in the ball game and give us an opportunity to win.

We just didn't grab the ball. They're a tough, physical group and maybe they wanted the ball a little bit more there at the end.

Right off the bat, we should have probably scored the first couple of times we had the ball, and we didn't. Then teams start thinking they're in the game and all that other stuff. We just have to get better.

We beat the stuffing out of them, but turned the ball over too many times. (It was) frustrating because they didn't win the game. We lost the game. We did everything to lose the game and we did that. We shot ourselves in the foot.

We just didn't hit the ball tonight. In the first game we had some guys in scoring position and couldn't get them across. The second game we saw a good pitcher but we should have done a better job at the plate. In the first game we needed hits and we just put the ball in play. We went brain dead when we were up 2-1 with two runners on. They hit an infield fly and we didn't field it, and the ball bounced away and they eventually scored and tied the game. We wouldn't have been in that situation if not for that play.

It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.

The crowd loved it when I kicked the ball long all the time, so every opportunity I got I would do it, ... I had a deal with the coach that when we were a certain amount up in the game late in the quarter, and I had the opportunity, I'd let it fly.

That's a huge play. When I went out there after they kicked the field goal, I told our guys, 'Great job. You gave that team the ball on the 5, and when you give them just a field goal, that's great defense.

I was sitting on the bench. I envisioned the game that way. I was ready to step onto the field. I knew I was going to score. There was no doubt in my mind I was going to score and do everything. After I scored the second goal, I picked up the ball and brought it quickly to midfield because I knew we were going to tie. Sometimes it happens. You think that you are going to give a big impact to the game. I felt it that day.
