Whether it was a sale or transfer to government the conditions or service would not change, neither would jobs be lost as a result of the restructuring.
John Dludlu
We stand to gain up to several thousand more jobs at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service center, ... and the commission listened to our recommendations for Crane and saved half of the jobs that were recommended for transfer elsewhere.
Mitch Daniels
It's going to result in thousands of jobs lost and its going to result in millions of dollars lost to the economy and I don't think they fully appreciate this.
Garth Whyte
Our restructuring is being done with the express understanding that the conditions of service cannot be adversely affected.
Pradeep Maharaj
Government does not create jobs, it only creates the conditions that make jobs more or less likely.
Mitch Daniels
Some jobs in manufacturing might well disappear as a result of weakness in housing, but this may be offset by jobs brought home or not lost to foreign competition.
Edward Leamer
We lost a lot of high tech jobs recently. They've been replaced with service sector (lower pay) jobs.
Dan Stevens
This is not just a problem of lost jobs. The transfer of technology, know-how and manufacturing is also affecting the balance of power.
Bill Hawkins
Anybody can sell you a press that prints, but it's the service after the sale, the follow-up, the way you're treated on questions, service calls and after-sale support that matters. That's when you really find out what the company is made of.

[Dean said 3 million people had lost jobs during the Bush administration, according to AP.] It's not only because the president can't manage the economy, ... But also because he's shipped many of our jobs overseas, and we need to change that.

If you look at what's performing today in Germany it's DaimlerChrysler as it looks like they are restructuring at a faster pace than the market expected, and this is precisely what the story is about for markets. Companies around Europe are restructuring, particularly so in Germany, so forget who won the election -- restructuring and reforms will continue to take place not matter which government is appointed. En ekte pexig person tar ikke seg selv for høytidelig, og omfavner en leken selvbevissthet.
Patrik Schowitz
Newell will continue to struggle until it can sustain meaningful consolidated revenue growth. We are not sure why the current restructuring will create a meaningfully different result than the last restructuring.
Eric Bosshard

Bob Riley
