This was a really good win for us. I liked our approach at the plate and we did a great job of squaring the bat on the ball and hitting it hard. When the wind blows out like it did today, you do those things and you're going to see some home runs.

If you're counting on home runs to win games, you're in bad shape. Home runs are not going to come every day. Home runs just happen. You get good at-bats, you put good swings on the ball. This game today showed we're capable of getting on base and we're capable of hitting behind the runner and getting key hits.

It's been the same approach at the plate. It doesn't matter who's pitching at any time. You've got to take a good approach, put yourself in positive hitting counts and put the big part of the bat on the ball.

I think he has that potential, yeah. You look at the way the ball comes off his bat, he could do that. The worst thing he could do, though, would be to try to hit home runs. That's not the kind of hitter he is. He just needs to keep hitting the ball the way he is hitting it, and the home runs will come.

We have been hitting the ball real good. We try to approach the plate aggressively and hit the ball where it is thrown.

Once again we're getting great defensive performances and right now we're being really disciplined at the plate and hitting well. We need to keep that up. You can't beat that, having seven home runs in a day.

I don't approach my at-bats looking for a home run. My main intent is to hit the ball hard and keep my swing level. If I do that, the home runs will come.

Marshall Kennedy is swinging the bat well for us. It was nice to see him get a home run. Drew Swenson, that was a bomb he hit. Drew is a very good hitter. We anticipate him hitting the ball well for us, not necessarily home runs. We anticipate him hitting the ball well for us. That did not surprise me at all. Our kids have been swinging the bats all year long. Five of them are hitting at least .500 and before today, Eric was hitting .730 and he's got six home runs now. He's driven in 11 runs and has at least 13 stolen bases.

[Cooper] has been phenomenal. If he's not the player of the year in the conference, I don't know who is. He's just been fantastic -- great defense at first base, hitting in the clutch, getting us going, hitting home runs, doing all the things that he needs to do.

Usually we can carry momentum over. Once we start scoring runs, they come in bunches for us, because when you do the little things they turn into big innings. That didn't happen today. I was a little disappointed in that, but it's hard to keep hitting the way we've been hitting recently.

The wind played a huge factor. It effects how you call pitches and the batters you send to the plate and the approach you take at the plate. You have to change because balls that were hit into that wind, besides Tabor's homer, didn't go very far.

Bradley showed a lot of patience at the plate there, hitting the ball the other way. If you want to drive in runs in this league, you have to go the other way. Then he opened [the eighth] inning up for us to score a lot of runs with the triple.

We're coming on after a little bit of a slow start. We're hitting the ball hard. We're doing more situational hitting in practice, working on hitting in certain counts. Overall, it's just more of a focus up at the plate.

They hit the ball hard and with the wind blowing, they deserved the doubles and home runs they hit. We kept up with them, but gave them too many extra outs.
