Whenever you look at a game I am always reminded of a Bill Lawry quote that you should always add two wickets on and then re-assess the game. If we were to do that then I would say that it's evenly poised on a pretty good batting wicket.

Everybody came into this game full of confidence, everybody expected us to do well and everybody's disappointed with our performance. The key was to get a good start, keep wickets in hand and we were able to do that. A lot of credit should go to the seam bowlers. They set the game up for us. It was a very flat wicket and they did a great job first up.

It helps us out, it's a good thing that we've already played them and we know who their key players are, what they're capable of doing. The last game was pretty close. We think it's going to be a pretty evenly matched up game.

It's a long haul, but it's a good batting wicket. There is three days to go. Our job is to resurrect the ship, and hopefully if we can get a lead, we can put them in a position where they have to make some running in the game.

We are obviously keen to win the game. The spirit in the group is excellent. We were happy with most of what we did in the first game. We were happy with our batting in the first game, which was pretty good. The fielding was good too. The bowlers did pretty good too.

We need results in test cricket. Both teams are evenly matched and we are excited about this game. We got some good batting practice in Lahore.

That's nearly seven (wickets) a game in that time, so I must be doing something pretty right, ... If I keep bowling like I'm bowling -- and we've been playing against the best players of spin -- and I'm taking wickets at a better rate than I have in my life, then 700 is a possibility.

I think the scuffle took some of the spirit out of it, but up until that point it was a good game. Up until that point I think it was a pretty evenly played game.

It's a wicket that goes around a bit and then becomes a good batting wicket.

The wicket looked flat but it didn't transpire that way. We've got to be ready for any type of wicket... we've got to be able to react quickly to how the wickets start off that's what we haven't done quite well enough so far on this tour.

We've still got some good batsmen and we'll be looking to be positive in the morning.

It was a pretty evenly matched game. All in all, we played well. We pressed them and got some turnovers off our press. I was able to get everyone in the game quite a bit ... (and) every boy in my lineup had at least one steal.

Kevin Plasterer

He wants to bowl in the tough situations, he wants to bowl when the field is up and he wants to bowl at the death. He wants to be in the mix of things and he's a much more aggressive character, he's a wicket taker - at least he wants to take wickets - so hopefully that will produce wickets down the line.

Both wickets can take a little bit of turn, particularly Adelaide, having had such a dry summer. The ball may turn a little bit more there, and the (shorter) square of the wicket boundaries also probably suit a few of our batsmen. But we are still going to have to play our best cricket to stretch Australia to the limit. We did that well in Sydney and we know going into the finals series that's the game we have to play.
