en The wicket looked flat but it didn't transpire that way. We've got to be ready for any type of wicket... we've got to be able to react quickly to how the wickets start off that's what we haven't done quite well enough so far on this tour.

en The key was to get a good start, keep wickets in hand and we were able to do that. A lot of credit should go to the seam bowlers. They set the game up for us. It was a very flat wicket and they did a great job first up.

en In hindsight, given the way they used the ball, there was enough on offer. It looked like it was going to be a bat-first wicket. But that time under the covers just gave the wicket that little bit of movement and they exploited it very well.

en It is the prerogative of the home side to prepare the pitch. We are ready to play on any wicket but such wickets are not good for cricket.

en It was very tough, even though it was a good wicket to bat on, but a big credit to the Aussies, they bowled well on that wicket and I put my hand up and say that we didn't bat good,

en Early on I saw that the wicket was holding up, some balls were actually stopping so I decided to use the wicket as one of my weapons and change up my pace a lot.

en We were suddenly four or five down before we realized that actually this wicket was not my kind of wicket. We should have accepted that a little bit earlier,

en He wants to bowl in the tough situations, he wants to bowl when the field is up and he wants to bowl at the death. en It's not a great (pitch). There's a lot of cracks in it, but it's not a 114 (wicket). It's a 250 (wicket).
