The country was fortunate last year during the hurricanes because we didn't see a drastic effect in insurance rates rising. Florida stood their own because of the regulations from Andrew.

We're going to be in a recovery effort for a good long time. But the state is not facing the same problems that the state of Louisiana and Mississippi are experiencing.

Our hearts go out to the people in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, but the public needs to be aware that there are already unsavory elements of our society preying upon those that are already victimized,

The debris removal for the state of Louisiana will far exceed Hurricane Andrew,

It almost seems then that they will be allocated based upon a state's ability to pay, ... How are you going to ask Louisiana right now to come up with the money for that. Take Mississippi . They've been hit hard.

It will serve as a constant reminder of what's been going on. The magnolia is the state flower of both Louisiana and Mississippi.
