I'm happy for them. ordsprog

en I'm happy for them. It was a good game, too. I think they controlled the whole game. From the start it looked like the Finns were not the same team as they've been the last couple games.

en  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

en They just wanted this game more than we did. Chicago looked better than we did and just controlled the game from the start.

en After the drama of the earlier game, I'm sure the Finns were motivated and our team was a little caught off guard. I think as a team we just said 'let's get ready for our game.

en It's not just winning games. It's the way he's pitched. He's been pretty dominant. I've seen guys win a lot of games before. But with the exception of Vida Blue in 1971, I've never seen a guy that has controlled the game, game after game after game, like he has.

en None of the guys really talk about it, ... I think going into a game you can't focus on getting a shutout. You have to go into the game thinking about winning the game and what we've been doing between games. We stayed out of the penalty box, which has been really big for us. And as a team we're playing awesome and it makes all our jobs a lot easier. Nobody really talks about the streak. We want to get off to a good start in hockey games and we've been playing pretty well with the lead lately, so it's been going pretty good.

en After that (Alabama) game we had a team meeting. I think everybody looked at themselves and everybody bought into what will win games. I think we've done a good job listening to coaches and just going out and executing the game plan and just playing smart.

en I looked on my back, and I can't see over it because there are a lot of things on it. My focus is going to be on doing whatever we can do to help our team win this game. We've got a good football team. We're an active team and a happy team that believes in each other. We're going to be a team that plays its butt off on December 23.

en When they get each other going they are fun to watch. Dylan had a great game. He controlled the tempo of the game and he was making the calls out there all night. Lucas is just a gym rat. As he goes the team goes a lot of time. If he can have a good game we usually win.

en This is exactly what we thought the game would be. They are a very good team. Our big kids were the key to everything and our guards played good defense and controlled the game. It's tough to beat an undefeated team. To do it in their gym is even tougher.

en They're also a very tough basketball team. They have some great inside players and a very good perimeter game. So we'll just execute the game plan as we've done these past couple of games.

en We played a solid game beginning to end. We did not allow any real good scoring chances and we took advantage of a couple power plays. We controlled the flow of the game.

en Maybe, we caught them by surprise a little bit. We're not a pressure team. Most of our games are played in the low 40s - the 30's sometimes. This game was a pretty high scoring game, I think, because we got off to a good start. After that, everything rolled together.

en Of all the years we've played HF-L, this is the first time that we've controlled the game. Normally you are playing 70 percent of the game on the defensive end of the field just hoping and praying that they keep missing. Today we controlled it and had the better play. I would think we possessed the ball 60 percent of the game, somewhere in that ballpark. The kids have worked hard and they have the ability. Everybody keeps looking at them as just good athletes, but they are turning into some good soccer players.
