Even though he's a shorter receiver, I think he's very much a downfield threat because of that, and then, of course, he's got great speed.

They did a very good job against our hitters. They threw a lot of strikes. When we were behind, they threw a lot of breaking balls and changeups.

When it was raining so hard we said we got to run the ball, and when it stopped and it looked like the fog was rolling in, we said we got to start putting it up in the air. We tried our best to get dry balls in there and Kevin threw some nice balls.

The results weren't great but we felt like he threw the ball pretty good. He got a few more balls up early than he would have liked.

He threw some good pitches early that got called balls, and it just seemed we got in some bad counts because of that. No offense to the umpire. I thought he threw the ball better than his line showed for sure.

I told him he should give half of the Gold Glove to me for all the balls I threw in the dirt that he had to scoop up and made him look good. There's a lot of great first basemen in our league, but no one like Tex.

I let him throw some breaking balls today for the first time. He threw about eight breaking balls, not max effort, but getting over the top of them with no problem, so we'll continue along those lines.

(Byrd) has always been that kind of pitcher, trying to trick you, keep the ball low, in and out. He threw a lot of strikes, worked it inside and out, threw breaking balls for strikes behind in the count.

He threw the ball down, threw some good breaking balls and went after the hitters pretty good. He had a little mental lapse there. He got behind on a guy and gave up a home run. If we keep him focused and throw like that he'll be fine.

We took shots downfield but you can't force balls. It's very difficult missing a player like Javon, and we should still have been able to take shots down-field.

We took some shots downfield, but they have to be open shots. When you force balls, you get intercepted.

Sometimes you don't get the catches because you don't get the opportunities. We've got to get more balls their way. There doesn't have to be any big, intricate, huge things downfield. Just get it in their hands. And once we get the ball in their hands, we've got to make some big plays with it.
