en You can over-hype a movie, but I don't think you can over-hype Harry Potter. I think this movie is so highly anticipated it deserves hype ... I think it behooves Warner Bros. to get the word out any way they can because they've got to bet big in the marketing to win big at the box office.

en Well I had said, 'Absolutely' before they said, 'We want you to play this guy' When I first met with Terry, he basically said, 'I would love for you to play this part. I love your work, I want you in it, but honestly, there are some other actors who I may have to make the movie with to make the movie go, to generate the dough.' He had been trying to make it for three to five years, something like that. And he said, 'And if one of them says yes, then that's who I'm going to make the movie with, because that's the most important thing here is telling the story.' I was in agreement. I said, 'I hope that it comes to me? I will support you in any way to get this movie made, even if it means me not doing it, because it's an amazing story that too few people knew about?' That's what I like about Terry. He's just a straight shooter. His passion for the piece was clear?

en [Brooks' movie, financed by producer Steve Bing, has now found a new home at Warner Independent Pictures, which plans to release it early next year. Warner Indy chief Mark Gill says he had no problems with the title.] How often do you get a laugh simply from the title of a movie? ... We saw the movie, and it was clear that Albert makes fun of himself and America, not anybody else.

en I'm going to continue doing what I want to do. And if it means I want to go and make a big movie, if it has something to say, I will want to make it. I don't want to spend my life wasting my time. If it's a big movie, I want to do it. If it's a small movie, I want to do it.

en We're going to do a movie called Major Movie Star with Warner Brothers. Also, Joel Silver and I are doing a movie together that I wrote,

en I'm attracted to movies that destroy the frontiers of our expectations. Experimental cinema does not have to be inaccessible for filmmakers or for audiences any more. Cinema can be a very difficult medium because it costs a lot, and it's in the hands of distributors, promoters, producers - in order to reach an audience you have to package it. It's tough to make a movie now, it's really, really tough. It costs too much.

en We're exploiting the s--- out of Comic-Con. Spread the word because Warner Bros. doesn't know what in hell to do with this movie.
